Services
At Canis we offer beginner to professional training courses. We offer Level 2 and Level 3 Courses. Our City & Guilds courses are intensive and thorough - 8 days of work experience with us including a first aid course. Canis training is delivered by Judy, professional dog groomer in a fully operational grooming salon and business, these courses include business and marketing content.

I am reviewing Canis Finest Grooming for their Grooming school and educational services. They're all very knowledgeable and experienced in breed standard grooms and pet grooms, providing all students with correct tools and equipment. The studio is equipped with all grooming tools and staff have detailed knowledge on all techniques needed. It's been a real pleasure training with Judy and her team. I'd highly recommend this grooming school to anyone.

The staff are lovely and understanding. My two dogs always come out after their appointment to a consistently high standard. The staff took the time to understand my dogs and what I would like for them. Responsive to requests for appointments and accommodating for the need to reschedule etc.

Lovely friendly dog groomers. They recently groomed both my cavapoos beautifully and looked after the 6 month old when I explained he was nervous of other dogs that aren’t his “brother”! Booked both dogs to go back again in 8 weeks :-)

Amazing experience - managed to get some really stubborn matted hair out of my dog which has been quite uncomfortable for her for a while now. Really professional and kind service - not only did my dog look AMAZING afterwards but the customer service was superior! My dog came out looking shiny, smelled amazingly, nails clipped perfectly and without any injuries (whenever I try her nails I sometimes do too short!) could not recommend enough!

From 5 star to 2 star, my dog was injured, after being shaved due to few matts, was told, but not told vet treatment was needed. I had to rush my dog to the vets and she needed operation to remove one dew claw although both were damaged by shaving. Groomers would not accept responsibility and refuse to pay towards the vets bill. Will not be sending either of my dogs back there as I was blamed for the accident due to a few matts, due to lockdown its been hard to keep my dogs completely mat free. I did not like being blamed for their mistake, found that very rude indeed.

Stopped going here after my dog was injured after a cut. The staff were very rude after we mentioned the injury. Seems like a common theme when a dog is injured there. There are so many better dog groomers out there who are a lot more attentive and pleasant with your dogs and owners. They need to pull their heads out of their backsides and realise that they are not that good at all. Trust me...AVOID.

I get no pleasure from the review I am going to write. I took my beautiful 8 month old Cavapoo for her second groom at Canis I asked for a Teddy bear cut and specifically told the groomer that I didn't want her scalped only to pick her up and all trace of the fluffy dog I expected to pick up gone. On further inspection of the groom she had been… razored in several areas as well and her cut did not resemble a Teddy bear groom. I have to say the first time she was groomed at Canis they did a really good job and met my expectations. I spoke to Judi the owner I believe at Canis the next day

Due to an apparent fur explosion I had to take my very nervous 11 year old miniature wire haired daschund for his first ever groom, and after some online research chose Canis...........I couldnt have made a better choice. The very understanding and calm mannered owner carefully managed the trimming, bathing, brushing and clipping of my dog, all new experiences for an old hound but by the end of it all he was positively relaxed (and handsome too!) Thank you.

Recently attended a "Groom your own dog" session. What I witnessed was quite upsetting. The other dogs in the salon were not treated with respect and frequenlty shouted at. Almost a compeition between the students as to who could shout the loudest and not even acknowledged by the trainer (owner of business) Totally unneccessary in my opinion. … One dog was left in suspension harness far too long even when nails had been clipped! Unqualified girls not supervised adequately resulting in one girl drawing blood from clipping nails too short as she stated she didn't "realise they bleed". Garden
