Slatebarns Caravan Park is a touring caravan/ motorhome park (no residentials, tents) or commercial vehicles - which is owned and run by Pam & Bryan Crawford. It is located on the ouskirts of Edinburgh (7 miles to the city centre's Princes Street) and minutes from Edinburgh City Bypass. There is a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches - all with electric hookups.
This peaceful park is situated on the edge of Roslin Glen (which has great woodland walks). It is next door to the famous Rosslyn Chapel and Rosslyn Castle (both featured in the movie The Da Vinci Code). A 5 minute walk up Chapel Loan takes you to the main street of Roslin where you will find the friendly village pub which serves food daily in their cosy lounge, conservatory and bar and welcomes dogs both in the bar and beer garden.

Services
If travelling from Edinburgh City Bypass (A720) - exit at Straiton Junction onto the A701 (signposted for Penicuik) Take the B7003 and follow the signs for Rosslyn Chapel. Once at the Chapel follow the signs for Slatebarns Caravan Park. There is a small Caravan Club CL site on the left hand side before you reach us - don't go into that gate as it is hard to get turned around.
No Commercial Vehicles/Transit vans allowed on the Park. Drivers must always use the road provided in order that the grass is kept in good condition for fellow holidaymakers who will use the Park in the future. Please be considerate when parking on your pitch and avoid digging up the grass outwith your pitch.

This was our first visit to Slatebarns and it will not be our last. The caravan site is very clean and well cared for. It is ideally situated about 7 miles south of Edinburgh. The bus into Edinburgh is about 6 mins from the site. The Original Rosslyn Inn in the village is ideal for drinks and food, best steak pie I've had.
Definitely recommend this site.

The campsite is well maintained and the shower facilities are of a good standard. The campsite is adjacent to a small woodland which is suitable for dog walking. The owners don't go out of their way to be friendly, so don't expect that if you are arriving there from the UK. The dryers are very expensive £3.50 and don't fully dry a full load.

Great site. Just stayed there for 3 nights and was just perfect. Pam met us on arrival and helped us find the perfect pitch for us and our 2 German shepherds. Very clean and quiet. Exactly what you need if you want to chill out. Great for dog walking. And public house just up the road with a good pint. Never tried the food ! But looked nice. Will definitely be back. Thanks for having us.

What a great site. Well maintained, excellent shower block, absolutely spotless. The pitches are a reasonable size & are level. Water & waste points are well spaced out. Covered dish washing area. Electric for every pitch too. Access is straight forward and wide enough for almost anything. We have a twin axle 8ft wide van & had no problem. The site is very quiet, there is no road noise, tv signal is good too. There is site WIFI for browsing & checking email etc. I highly recommend this site.
