Age-related macular degeneration is a condition of the eye that affects a very small part of the retina at the back of your eye, called the macula. AMD causes problems with your central vision, but does not lead to total loss of sight and is not painful. AMD affects the vision used when you are looking directly at something, e.g. when you are reading, watching television or looking at photographs.

The customer service was outstandingly top class. A lovely lady, Nita helped me with two sets of glasses. My husband was even impressed by the level of understanding and compassion given to us. Nita spent quality time on us, in order to get me the right frames and lenses. We really can't commend the service enough, and the optician that did the test was thorough too. He explained any questions I had in depth, as also did Nita. She has a lot of expertise knowledge on the products and customer care and interpersonal communication was brilliant.

My wife used one of the large chains for many years and felt dissatisfied with her level of treatment during that time. Her sister recommended Visioncare, and she was pleasantly surprised by the personal care she received. The optician was most informative and went through every detail of her eye test, and Nita advised on styles to suit, and even though she was a bit dubious, she was very happy with the result. Jo was also very helpful in fitting her new glasses. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we highly recommend them.
