Trevena Cross is a nursery and garden centre based in West Cornwall. Our family business has been running for over 40 years. Our staff have a genuine passion for our plants and products. We have extensive undercover space dedicated to a huge variety of home-grown stunning plants. Plus, a three acre garden centre and vast 32 acre nursery on site.
The warmer year-round temperatures in Cornwall means we're able to grow plants which thrive in our climate. Historically, we are famous for our large range of exotic plants, including huge specimen palms such as the Trachycarpus fortunei (Chusan Palm) and Chamaerops humilis (Dwarf Fan Palm) and the infamous Olea europaea (Olive Tree).

Trevena Cross isn't your typical garden centre. We love our plants with passion and expertise. Our dedicated nursery team grow over 90% of the plants we sell on-site in our huge, 35-acre nursery, making us unusual and exceptional compared with other garden centres locally.

By the time Trevena Cross plants are large and mature, priced and ready to go home with our customers, they have spent a significant amount of time with us here, in our propagating house, our potting tunnels and our outside nursery bays, being nurtured and cared for by the nursery team - the people behind the scenes, hidden out of view!

Trevena Cross doesn't just sell plants; it grows them - more than 90% of what it sells in fact - with passion and expertise that simply can't be rivalled. Our huge 32 acre, on site growing area gives us the scope to grow and nurture a continuous supply and huge variety of trees, shrubs, perennials, hedging plants and bedding plants, including rare and unusual specialities that are tough to find anywhere else - certainly locally.
Trevena Cross has grown hardy hedging plants on a big scale, for many years, and as a business constantly planning for the future, it has set the wheels in motion to grow a consistent plentiful supply of many different hedging types in its nursery - competing better than ever before with the well known online hedging specialists when it comes to hedging stocks, both in terms of quantity but also the value for money it can offer customers.
Our huge collection of coastal plants, i.e. plants suitable for coastal planting, is one of the notable features that really stands Trevena Cross apart from other garden centres, not just in Cornwall but in the south-west generally. Located so close to the sea, coastal conditions have been genuinely important considerations for the nursery during it's own on-site growing operation over the many, many years it has successfully been in business.
