Our staff have a wide range of experiences and are at various stages of their career, they all have valuable contributions to make and forms our excellent team! Our staff qualifications range from level 2 right up to level 6 and everything in between! We provide staff with opportunities for progression and have many staff with us who have either been students or apprentices with us and then gained employment.
Most staff have a main base room which provides consistency for both the children and parents / carers. The Manager, Helen and Deputy Manager, Vicki work across all the rooms so can often be found busy down on the floor with the children! There is a staff photo board situated in the entrance hall, so you can put names to faces or faces to names!

Services
Here at Precious Times we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. This covers children's development and learning from birth to 5 years. The EYFS is designed to deliver improved outcomes for all children, across every area of learning and development. The EYFS is a very important stage as it helps your child get ready for school as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes.
Flexible Funded Entitlement (FFE) is a Government scheme which allows children to access funded, quality Early Years provision. Precious Times Riverside and Laceby Acres are both registered to offer the Flexible Funded Entitlement to 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. The Government states that each eligible child receives 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.
We follow the Government's 'Eat Better, Start Better' guidelines and ensure all the foods offered to the children meet these. We are inspected by the Local Authority's Food Hygiene department and both settings currently have 5 stars. At Riverside the children are offered breakfast, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack and tea which includes a pudding - all our meals are carefully planned and prepared by our cook, Mark.
It is a legal requirement (under Early Years Foundation Stage - EYFS) for the setting to hold information about children using the service and its staff. By completing the registration forms and registering your child with us you are giving consent for this information to be used, information is used for registers, invoices and for emergency contacts; however all records are stored confidentially.
Precious Times Childcare Services consists of a team of competent, committed and experienced employees working together to create lovely settings for you and your child to be part of. Kerry started her childcare career helping out in the Laceby Acres committee based preschool in 1998 when her own children were attending, eventually gaining Childcare, Playwork and NVQ assessor qualifications.
