Nantmel itself enjoys a charming rural setting with easy access to the A44 at the very heart of Wales, our Holiday Lodge makes an excellent centre for car tours, off roading or biking. The Elan and Upper Wye Valleys are only a few miles away with easy access for walking, road / mountain biking or Red Kite watching.

Rhayader and Llandrindod Well's shops, inns, livestock markets, spectacular Red Kite feeding station, Welsh crystal factory, cycle hire, indoor swimming, play barn and park are just 5 miles away. The museums, galleries of the Welsh Marchers including Ludlow's renowned cuisine and Hereford Cathedral are an easy drive.

The picturesque Elan Valley Estate, which stretches for 70 square miles from Rhayader westwards towards Aberystwyth, has created history by becoming the world's first privately owned, but publicly accessed International Dark Sky Park.The silver-tier status has been granted by the International Dark Sky Association (IDA) based in Arizona, USA.

Booked through airbnb.co.uk. Lovely place in the middle of nowhere. Well kitted out self catering barn conversion. The hot tub was amazing looking at the stars in the night sky.
