Care:means in a clinical sense but also, just as importantly, the customer service we give to our patients. It also means care for each other, making sure everyone working at the surgery feels supported and encouraged in their role.

Efficiency: Is about administrative and clinical systems and procedures running smoothly and the appropriate use of NHS resources. We believe that if we get these core values right it will help us work smoothly as a practice, and develop our services in the right direction. Our aim in all our thinking, planning and doing is for improvement in these three areas (importantly without improvement in one area negatively impacting on the other two).

If you live within our practice area (see opposite) you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure. Eligibility can be quickly confirmed from your address so please provide proof by way of a recent utility bill. We also require one form of photographic ID.

Recently I had a poor smear test result, I got worried because I had some symptoms as well and I needed to talk to a doctor about it. I have been told I cannot do that unless I am in pain, as if only serious symptom is having a pain?? This is not the first time I have received zero care from this GP, the place is a joke! When you ring up for anything, they try to get rid of you as soon as possible, "do you have blood coming out of your eyes? Take some antihistamine, it's probably hay fever"... I will be changing my GP and I don't recommend rookery centre to anyone.

Recently i had very bad problems with the big toe joint it had swollen up and was very painful i had a job walking it may have been started by a puncture wound. I phoned up and saw the nurse for a check on the wound all in order. Unfortunately it did not get any better and i spoke to the Doctor who prescribed medicines as they thought appropriate at the time. Eventually i did see the Doctor for a consultation which was thorough and it was arranged for a blood test to see if i had gout or something else. The blood test came back and as a result of some queries i had a Doctor phoned me back to explain

Great team and excellent service throughout the COVID pandemic. Their vaccines clinics were really well run and the staff were really friendly.

Think the 5 minute waited on phone call and type of answer to the follow up on the jab, unlike other nicer responses before, is the last straw.

I have been with the Rookery for many many years but it now seems to have gone downhill. Up until recently i had always had a pleasant experience whenever i needed them but those days are over.In fact I will very soon be leaving.

The ladies working at the front desk of the Rookery Medical Centre are absolutely lovely. They're genuinely helpful and kind and will actually go out of their way to help you which is a rare find these days.

Brilliant Service for Covid-19 Vaccinations
My husband and I were extremely pleased by the process we encountered for receiving our vaccinations. It was conducted in a safe, thorough and seamless way.
We had visions of losing the will to live standing in the cold in a long queue outside the centre. However, this was pleasantly disproved by the efficient way the Rookery organised the process, with outside helpful volunteers guiding us through to the reception team and then onto receiving the jab. Also, everything was pleasantly efficient and timely done for our age group and vulnerability. Thank

I’m shocked and lost. 5 years ago since I moved to Newmarket and joined Rookery, I was running from doctors to doctors, from scanning to scanning,they were throwing me to each other but there was no result, I was suffering so badly. So I came to the conclusion that Iv got Celiac disease ( gluten intolerance) so I stopped eating gluten and felt a huge relief. So now I was back to doctors to confirm it and I was told that the only way to prove it is to get of my diet for at least two weeks so then they can see it?!?!???
