Crown Inn
Nestling in the Cotswold Village of Frampton Mansell Lies the Crown Inn. A seventeenth century 'cider house' that is steeped in history and is, quite simply, a perfect village pub. Roaring log fires; delicious, traditional, home-cooked food; fine, locally brewed real ales; a stunningly beautiful building dating from 1633 and of course, great company.

Add to this a very well appointed 12-bedroom hotel annex, ample car parking and simply exquisite views across the golden valley and you have the precise recipe for a relaxing and enjoyable venue. A typical menu is shown on the Food & Drink page and it is always wise to give us a quick call if you want to bring a group along for a meal, especially in the winter or on rainy days when our extensive garden is not in use.
Services
Whether you are passing through or staying with us for a while, you can be sure of eating well. We use only finest quality locally sourced ingredients to produce a superb choice of dishes, which includes our traditional Sunday roasts & regularly changing specials. As well as great food we serve some of the best beers in Gloucestershire, showcasing local beers in particular.
Here at the Crown Inn we have 12 well appointed bedrooms in our separate hotel annex, that are well suited to leisure and business guests alike. All rooms are en-suite with bath and shower, and offer TV, coffee & tea making facilities and a writing desk. With twin, double and family rooms available, all set in peaceful Gloucestershire countryside, there's no better base for exploring the area after a restful night.
Sometimes it can make sense to take your business team offsite for some space to think, discuss and agree. Here at the Crown Inn we offer you a first class meeting or presentation room, with free wireless internet access, that is able to accommodate approximately 25 in boardroom format or 40 in theatre format.
These duels take place against some of the other fine pub cricketing specimens from pubs around the Stroud area. Our fortress is the Oakridge playing fields if you wish to come and feast on this sporting spectacle, home fixtures always on a Thursday evening. If you too are a closet cricketer, whose professional chance has passed them by, then fear not The Crown CC is here to give you that last chance.

Good beer, great service; a bit pricey. Non-amplified live music would be a bonus.

Ate a beautifully prepared Nut Roast with seasonal vegetables and a lovely home made cranberry sauce.
This is one of my favourite Traditional Cotswold Inns, and my first visit for two years purely due to the pandemic and the fact i haven't been out that much!
The staff were pleasant and helpful, the ale wonderfully kept and the log fires lit.
It really was bliss.
You must visit..

I haven’t stayed in the hotel only visited the pub for dinner and drinks. The staff are attentive, the food is great and the attention to detail is everywhere creating the most of this historic pub in a pretty Cotswold village.

Very good food, very pleasant staff and cosy ambiance. Only high tables available though when visited without booking and far too high for a short person. Staff were excellent though and provided a cushion, but table was still very high.
