Arch House Deli
We are also scheduling dates for 2022 and will of course move bookings to any of these dates. All valid open vouchers can now be used within a 2 year period rather than 1 year, even if the ticket states a year. Arch House Deli ran as a multi award winning deli in Bristol for over a 10 years. Tickets to our events can be purchased through our online shop.

We have added extra dates to our cheese and wine diary, including some Friday and Saturday options. All you have to do is pick the date that works best for you, book your ticket(s) and then spend the evening with friends, a glass (or six) of wine and a selection of fantastic cheeses.
Services
We seek to source the finest cheeses from the UK and mainland Europe to ensure our customers always have a wide selection of quality cow, ewe and goat cheeses to choose from. Listed below are some of our standard cheeses that we tend to keep in stock, subject to seasonality. We can not always guarantee to have every cheese listed below in stock so check with us first if you'd like a specific cheese.
Cheese Wedding Cakes have become a regular feature of the wedding reception over the last few years. Often used as a replacement to traditional wedding cake, and more frequently as an additional cake to add an exciting focal point at the reception.

The name is slightly misleading in that no cake is used, rather a wedding cake effect is created by layering a number of cheeses which are typically dressed in fruit or flowers to create a beautiful "Cheese Wedding Cake".A Cheese Wedding Cake is also sometimes described as a Cake of Cheese, Cheese Tower or Tower of Cheese.
We recognise that sometimes things happen which mean you may not be able to attend the event. Where we have 4 weeks notice or more we will always refund or move you to another available evening of your choice. Where we have less notice than this we cannot guarantee we will be able to do this, however we will always try and resell the tickets and where we are able to do this we will refund you or move you to another evening of your choice.
Try roasting crispy lardons & cabbage with a few drops. For a dessert fold into slightly softened vanilla ice cream & return to the freezer until ready to serve. Drizzle over halved figs (arranged in a shallow dish), bake in the oven until soft & caramelized. Serve with ice cream, mascarpone cheese or crme fraiche.
We're always keen to work with local businesses both large and small and offer a number of services tailored to your needs. In addition to the series of public 'cheese and wine' tastings we hold throughout the year we can run events solely for your company, organisation or even group of friends.

We can hold events at Averys Wine Cellars (9 Culver Street, Bristol, BS1 5LD) and generally start at 7pm with the tasting typically lasting around 2 hours.Prices are based on 30 per person assuming a minimum of 25 people and a maximum of 70 people. By default the tasting will be based on our public tasting (6 wines and 6 matched cheeses) however we are happy to tailor the event if you'd prefer.

They do very delicious, very BIG doorstep sandwiches, with good indoor and outdoor seating areas. However, they don't serve chips.

Stop Press: Farewell, Arch House Deli. It's been great knowing you and even greater being a customer! Now permanently closed due to change in family circumstances. Cheese and Wine nights will still be hosted, but at Averys just off Park Street.

As a french person living in Bristol, i was desperately looking for good cheese in town. So naturally I went to the apparently number one shop for cheese in town, Arch House Deli. The place is really pretty, quite, the people working here are realy nice and careful. First thing that hurts me a little bit, all the cheese are mixed together, some are really smelly ones and there are just next to other ones way more soft, not good at all for the life of the cheese and every cheese doesnt need the same treatment to stay fresh.. the cheese I get: a Comté that was quite fine even if it was pretty obvious

We already had a wedding cake but we also wanted a cheese wedding cake for those guests with less of a sweet tooth. The staff in the shop were extremely helpful and David at Arch House Deli worked with us to provide us with our favourite cheeses and within a budget we could afford and in a very tight timescale before delivering the cheeses to the venue. They looked and tasted fantastic and there wasn't a morsel left for us to take home. We've lost count of the number of compliments from the guests, a few of which I believe have already since ordered cheeses or a 'cheese' cake from the deli. We

Wanted to reiterate my parents post with regard to a truly scrumptious romantic Italian picnic hamper. I'm sure it help sway my girlfriend to say 'yes' to my proposal of marriage. Who knows I think we could return for Our Wedding cake' Regards, Adam Howard .

Amazing deli in Clifton Village. Arch House Deli is an award-winning deli that serves a range of cheeses, cured meats, oils and vinegars, chocolate, biscuits and far, far more. They've got a decent local booze selection, and they'll sell picnic and Christmas hampers to meet every budget.
They've also got a cafe where I've enjoyed a lovely cuppa and slice of cake in the past. Arch House Deli is my first stop when I'm looking for well-stored, great quality cheeses, sold by staff who know their stuff. Fantastic place.

One of Bristol's (many) hidden delicatessens, and a very good one at that. We dropped in yesterday for lunch and sat under the arch to watch the world go by. Both the freshly prepared sandwiches - an Italian Job and a New Yorker - were packed full of delicious ingredients, and the selection of proper teas completed an excellent lunch.
I have only one request: could you cut the Hobbs' bread a little thinner please? Your doorstep slices are very hard to handle!
