Bubble Play Cafe is a cafe and restaurant located on East Street. We make amazing food and beverages, all freshly prepared. We do fantastic English Breakfasts with butcher's hand-made sausages, Omelettes, Paninis, Sandwiches, English breakfast muffin, Burgers & Fries, Belgian Waffles and American Pancakes.

Our range of drinks includes Espressos, Bubble Teas, Fruit Smoothies, MIlkshakes, Iced Coffees and Frappes. On the 1st floor we have a fantastic sophisticated softplay on the high street for kids between 6 months to under 10 year olds to have a thrill in, whilst moms and dads can kick back a bit and enjoy their food and drinks.

Party Hire Report

Children from 6 separate family bubbles are permitted. We would request that only two supervising party adults remain on the 1st floor whilst the other parents to remain on the ground floor, where they could enjoy a coffee or something else on the menu if they wish. Parties for toddlers (1-3 year olds) can have one parent per child upstairs.

Awful breakfast. Came out to table in fits and starts. Long wait and did not get all drinks before food. Eggs all hard. Vastly overpriced. 2 star as nothing wrong, just very poor value.

My friend and I had a breakfast at bubble play Thursday. She found a hair in her food so didn't want to eat it. Waitress took it back, saying she could get "some refund"
Saw chef. He was so arrogantly rude. Said what colour hair n where was the food.
Told her he cannot do anything
Wasn't happy. Wont be going back. Poor customer service

The food is really good, especially for waffles and pancakes. They do one of the best bubble tea in Bristol. Is the ideal place for kids, they have a playing area dedicated. Also a selection of food for kids is available. The guys from staff are always nice and welcome everyone who comes in with a smile

During a pandemic you’d think there would be strict rules. In Bubble Cafe softplay in Bedminster there isn’t any. Okay, you have to pre-book a hour slot which is good (Only 6/7 small tables for seating upstairs in the soft play area which limits the numbers) It’s the crossover between slots that is unsafe. There is no time to finish one slot before… another starts. Instead of asking the next group of customers to wait downstairs whilst the previous group leaves, the groups actually mix together upstairs. Tables are not cleared of coffee cups and plates and are not sanitised

This place is disgusting £30 for two breakfast what got deliver cold covered in grease when spoke to staff. Staff didn’t care. I advise anyone do not go here

We held my daughters 3rd birthday party at Bubble play cafe. We had 15 children attend, with age ranges from 1-4. The overall experience was excellent. Olivia was great with the planning the event/questions beforehand and the staff on the day were helpful. The soft play space was a good size for the number of children and age range at the party, plus the seating space upstairs was big enough for parents and grandparents to chat/observe the children having fun!
The food for the children was good in terms of mix of food and portion size. I particularly liked that the crisps and party ring biscuits

The breakfast ordered was not as the menu stated. staff didnt seem to be interested when spoken with about this. You should get what you paid for. Waited a very long tme for food and when food turned up it was… cold. fried eggs like they came out a freezer and all other food cold. The staff seemed more interested in justeat orders rather than in house orders. its a cafe is it not. staff could do with learning more about customer relations. cleanliness could be better also. and now just been on toilet with baf belly. think from the bit of food that passed my lips. never again.

I enjoyed their Caramel Iced Coffee and the service there is amazing. I ordered a breakfast crepe, the scrambled egg was not done well enough to my liking and the crepe itself had no favor to it. Best to say most of it stayed on my plate.

Compact but very well designed soft play. Menu is excellent - original if a bit decadent (quite high in sugar). Kids menu is very appropriate though. The fries are yummy but slightly spicy so may not be right for some kids. Do try the bubble tea if you never have - it's great!
March 2019 Update, sad and disappointed to say that the current manager is unaware of polite or friendly customer service - but please spare time to compliment the lovely hard working young team around him :-)

Small but not too busy so the size is not a problem. It has lots to entertain children and has clearly been well thought out. The staff were very welcoming and the food was great. A hidden gem.

Great place for eating when you've a toddler. Soft play is safe and well looked after. Food is good- not many options but tastes great and the coffees and ice creams are sublime! Well done- just what East Street needed!
