Cafe Kino
Cafe Kino is a vegan cafe and community space in Bristol. We offer tasty, homemade food including our acclaimed burgers, breakfasts, falafel, fresh salads and cakes. We have a wide selection of delicious loose leaf teas, fairtrade coffee, soft drinks, local beers, cider and wines.

We have recently converted part of our cafe space into a vegan deli, stocking an array of plant-based produce including locally-made Bath Culture House cheeses, Kino's own Pick N'Mix selection bags and various meat replacements such as vegan prawns, vegan sausages, vegan burgers etc.We strive to provide a community resource.
Services
We're available on Deliveroo too! Last orders for everything (food/drink/takeaway etc) will be an hour before the cafe shuts. We hand cut our potato and sweet potato chips and make our own dressings, relishes, mayonnaise, salsa and dips from scratch. Please allow a 20-30 minute wait during busy times, we will let you know if the wait is likely to be longer.

Quality vegan spot with a banging breakfast. Ordered quite a few times here during lockdown also, burgers are unreal. All-round decent food, and loads of sweet treats usually too.

What a delightful place. It's got such a friendly and welcoming vibe, friendly staff (volunteers, I believe), and the menu is just superb. Everything's delicious - I particularly recommend the breakfast and coffee (they have at least four non-dairy milks).
It's places like these that make me love Bristol, and that I bring people to show off that a vegan diet CAN be amazing (and to reassure myself... catch up, everywhere else!)

One of Bristol's oldest vegan cafe and a workers co-op. Great coffee and food. Kino burger, curly fries and salad are delicious. Serves great soups, salads, superb cakes and a range of alcohol. Kino is an authentic Bristol fixture which started as a small cafe on Nine-tree Hill and moved to the main Stokes Croft a decade ago. Not only about food - this is a community hub committed to social and artistic development. Event space in the basement.

Stopped by here for a big breakfast before getting tatted a week or two ago. Atmosphere was very friendly and chill and my breakfast was delicious (they even gave me a free choice of substitution for something I didn't want which isn't as common as you'd think!) Cafe is entirely vegan which as a vegetarian I don't mind (and I can see the reasoning given it's unquestionably the most ethical choice) but something to keep in mind.

Your staff need to learn to be customer friendly volunteers or not from what I am hearing your staff are a disgrace speaking to people like dirt in front of thier children and you think it's acceptable all because she wasn't wearing a mask you have no rights to refuse her as there is no law that states we have to wear a mask and some people like myself have valid reasons for not wearing masks you should be ashamed of your staff and the way they represent your company

Absolutely disgraceful to refuse a service to a customer who informed you about theirs exemption. heartless really! educate your staff as that kind of behaviour is terrible ! people who are expempt are actually expressing their good will to actually explaining themselves to you ! it does say on the gov website they do not have to show you any proof not even the exemption card! shame on you ! I'm taking my money somewhere else and I will not reccomend your place to my friends. that's for sure 📢😑

English cuisine adapted to veganism. Good food. The place has a cool recycled 50’s dinner. The ambiance is chill and friendly. At an ethical level it takes the 5 stars. A cooperative of non-profit workers? You have to love them.

Hey, Cafe Kino was great. I'm checking out what it's like to be on a vegan diet for a month (6th day) and hit burger place actually hit the (or some) spot!
I mean, I'm one to compare a beef patty to a vegan bun, to be honest. Texture wise it doesn't quite compare for me, because I appreciate the 1/3 bun, then 1/3 meat, then 1/3 bun texture-ratio when chomping down on a burger. In any case the patty was really nice; I just had to get into my head that's it's a different experience. The seeded-bun was slightly dry, so that coulda been better. Sauces were nice, REALLY liked the mayo with the chips
