Coach Barn Kennels & Cattery
We are licensed by the City Council of Rochester-upon-Medway to keep an Animal Boarding Establishment (Act 1963). Coach Barn Dog Kennels and Cattery has been established at its present location for forty years. In 1993 a complete new building program was undertaken which resulted in both the Dog kennels and cattery being built from the ground up.

This program was completed in 1996 by the opening for our new kitchens store rooms and special care room. We do not retail food, pet accessories or offer other gimmicks at Coach Barn. Our priority and main purpose is whilst you are away to look after your pets to the best of our ability thus ensuring your peace of mind.
Services
We are licensed by the City Council of Rochester-upon-Medway to keep an Animal Boarding Establishment (Act 1963). We like to think our brick built kennels have the largest individual runs of any other similar establishment. We have various arrangements of kennel.

Larger kennels able to accommodate up to three or four dogs depending on size, other kennels which can accommodate more than one dog but have separate feeding and / or sleeping quarters (in both these examples dogs would be from the same family, we never board dogs from different homes together), and of course individual kennels. In colder weather the kennels are heated (this is included in our inclusive rate).
We are licensed by the City Council of Rochester-upon-Medway to keep an Animal Boarding Establishment (Act 1963). The cattery is of brick construction. The "chalets" and individual runs are indoors under a tiled roof which means the cats can exercise in any weather. In colder weather the chalets themselves are heated.
We are licensed by the City Council of Rochester-upon-Medway to keep an Animal Boarding Establishment (Act 1963). We are situated about 4 miles from Strood, or 20 minutes from the Bluewater turn off. From either direction take the A228 towards Grain. At the roundabout, sign-posted High Halstow, turn left and we are immediately on the right.

1st time using coach barn kennels and the experience was friendly and professional. The team from check in too collection was faultless and made the experience for Lola Barney and Daisy stress free. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Supper friendly team that took fantastic care of my pup. He was nervous going in but they seemed to put him at ease. Will definitely be rebooting again for future trips.

I've brought my dog here for over 12 years whenever she's needed to go into kennels, and have no hesitation in recommending them. My dog is now very elderly, (and quite truthfully) doesn't like being away from home, but the staff make a real fuss of her, and show her such kindness.

We have been so pleased with the outstanding care and attention that Cindy has given to our two fur babies Teddy and George.
She has given us so much reassurance as she has taken the time to get to know our two and we know they are safe and well looked after when they come to stay.
They can't wait to come and stay again soon for lots of cuddles, Thanks again Mrs Cunningham x

Very professional and experienced manager. Cindy took great care of my pedigree GSD Duke and he didn’t want to leave! I left feeling happy for Duke and I was armed with some dog chews and more Information from Cindy who is a GSD expert. Highly recommended.

We sent our very adored 1 year old dog to stay at coachbarn for a week and were very impressed. i rang to check how she was and they were so lovely.
While we were away there was a storm and they brought her in the house to calm her.
Would definitely recommend! x

We have been using coach barn kennels and cattery since we moved into the area 5 years ago. They have always been able to accommodate our cat Roger, and he always seems to come back happy and healthy. The price is good per night. We would highly recommend using coach barn kennels and cattery to anyone who asks.
