New years eve about 11am. Turned up to have a breakfast after an appointment nearby and we found on Google maps as a place marked as open.
We turned up and the shutters were down but their doors open, we went inside to the counter to be told they are closed by a lady who wasn't that friendly, closed despite a man sat there at a table with a coffee and eating a snack.
Dissapointed and won't be going back to try. Would have been an idea to update social media if you know Your going to be closed. (Including google)
Dissapointed as you had so many lovely and great reviews.

It never ceases to amaze me how nice, friendly, loving and caring the staff and volunteers are at The Mess Cafe and Community Store.
They are a great bunch of people who do a fantastic job.
From the moment you walk in to leaving the place you are made to feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble.
The food and drinks at the cafe are tasty, filling and very definitely worth the money and cooked to perfection. The Community Food store is also a huge help to a great many people and is well worth the visit.
Thank you so much everyone at The Mess

I took my dad for some lunch after his appointment at Salford Royal where he’d had an appointment for skin cancer treatment. He’s 91 years old and fancied some cheese on toast. The hospital canteen staff were… unwilling to provide him with some as they reported they only serve it in the mornings. I knew that the lovely staff at The Mess would make some for him, so drove 20mins out of my way to ask. Of course they made him some, despite it not being on their regular menu, and he really enjoyed it. He is a full time carer for my mum who has dementia and rarely gets out and also
