Weston-super-mare Golf Club
Established in 1892, the course offers a true test of links golf with its rolling fairways and challenging wind conditions. Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is situated on the coast, close to the seafront and within walking distance of the town centre. The course was redesigned by the famous golf architect Alistair Mackenzie and hosted the South West Counties Championship in 2017.

The course is renowned for its superb greens and rolling fairways, with views across the Bristol Channel towards Wales. The course offers a challenging test of links golf, requiring accurate shots in order to score well. It's always said about the friendly welcome you get at Weston, you'll never be a stranger for long!
Services
The course is an easy walk, with generous fairways and the wind often playing a decisive role in making a good score. The overall impression when playing the course is of wide horizons and masses of sky. In summer the greens are fast and true; the fairways tight and the rough punishing. In winter the course is rarely closed and is always played off real tees.
Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is please to welcome all visitors to our "All Year Round" Golf Course. You and your friends will find not only a fantastic course in first class condition, but equally importantly, you'll find us to be a friendly and hospitable Club that's ideal for a casual game. Please ring the Kitchen 01934 626968 Option 4 to check whether food can be made available for you before or after you play.
When travelling from the North, exit junction 21 and follow the A370 and Town Centre signs for approximately 3 miles. Turn left at the A3033 (Drove Road) junction and follow signs to sea front. Turn left when facing the Beach Lawns and the Golf Club is on the right hand side, immediately beyond The Royal Sands Apartment buildings at the end of the Beach Lawns.
Over 125 years of sustained effort ensures that the principles of Course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, of Augusta National and Pebble Beach fame, have been retained. Our Course is considered one of the best in the South West, particularly its greens which give a true roll all year round. We are confident that you will enjoy the challenge that the Course and the elements undoubtedly provide.
Head PGA Professional Ben Lock and his team of 3 PGA Professionals would like to welcome you to Weston super Mare. In a continuing effort to provide the Club with the best coaching available, the Professional Services at the Club will soon boast the solution to wet and windy days on the practice ground and the long winter nights by transforming an existing room into a modern indoor Teaching Academy with video analysis and gold simulator.

I've been meaning to share an online review for a while, but can't thank Sarah, Darren and the team enough for their efforts in facilitating such an amazing 50th Birthday celebration event! The venue space was totally transformed making a great party atmosphere, the welcome drinks and bar service was impeccable, with Sarah going above and beyond to help with all aspects of the planning and set-up on the night too, plus the food offering by Head Chef Darren and his team was both delicious and so beautifully presented with an array of antipasti platters and canapés. Highly recommend Weston-super

I can say without a doubt that if any American is looking for a coastal vacation with family and the ability to sneak out for golf, this is the place. I stayed within a walk of the course and it made it very easy to escape to a coastal links style golf course paradise for reasonable green fees, a lot of fun and a lot of Birdie opportunities! I played in 4 hours peak day, and thoroughly loved the links play. I played St. Andrew's and it reminded me of it for a fraction of the cost! The Pro was accommodating, and got me out, the membership was accepting and the experience was fantastic!

Great links course. Comes into its own when the wind comes in from the sea. Not overly long but the greens are exceptionally fast.
A very friendly club, good food and reasonably priced bar.

Lovely seaside resort to visit on a nice day. Very mobility scooter friendly with loads of parks and odd bits of sculpture hidden away. Cafes and restaurants abound with something for all tastes.

The course was bone dry, due to the weather, obviously, but really enjoyed the challenge, especially the back 8 which were greener 'as were the 5th and 6th'. Would definitely play again.
