It is only a stone's throw from Windsor Great Park and is the perfect venue after a day's walk in the Berkshire countryside. We are a group of French expats who have made England our home, and have grown to love and treasure that great British institution - the pub.

With a background in Michelin starred restaurants (both here and abroad) as well as over a decade in the management of pubs and restaurants in London and the home counties, we had a collective vision. We wanted to create a traditional English pub that is at the heart of the local community; a warm and inviting place that serves great ales, wine and food and with strong local sporting and community links.
Services
Please note, these are sample menus and certain dishes are subject to change depending on seasonal and market availability. We serve regional French cuisine, mostly from the south-west of France as well as some British classics. Our dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order in our kitchen, using only the freshest ingredients.

Lovely place, nice atmosphere; unfortunately average, overpriced food. The dessert was the best dish.

Fabulous lunch, 3 courses for £22.95! And the food was delicious. Lovely selection available, but not so much you are overwhelmed. Perfect amount too, enough to feel satisfied but not stuffed. Well cooked beautifully presented and delivered by friendly people. Just wish it was near where I live!!

Driving there is a bit of a nightmare because of the tight spot it is in, but obviously that is not why i took one star off... we went on a wednesday lunch service and it was not very busy but service was super slow, not in getting food out, but in general. Our water never got refilled, and now that I think of it we never saw our server again after she took our initial order.
I had the Coq au Vin and pumpkin soup from the lunch menu and they were absolutely delicious. We also ordered fondue, which generously serves 2, as stated.

Refused service because one of us was in their early twenties. Staff mentioned there were signs on the door but the sign only states "below 25? You may be asked for ID". Funny how the bar person said they didn't want younger customers patronising their establishment because of a previous incident. There was 3 of us. My partner and I are in our late twenties. Absolutely preposterous that we were turned away because one in our group was just below the 25-mark. You'd think the management can make a judgement of the sort of group we were. You're better off going to the pub down the street. At least

Here today and the first time for a couple of years, for obvious reasons, but as good as ever. Great for Sunday lunch with a French twist. Friendly and efficient service as well. Highly recommended.

Best and authentic south west of France cuisine. Amazing service: only pub I've ever eaten where they managed to bring 15 varied starters at the same time and same for main courses and that on a busy Saturday night. All with a smile.

Excellent Traditional French cuisine for a decent price! The canard a l'orange was expertly cooked, beautifully pink and succulent - balanced marvellously with the orange sauce. Lovely wine pairings and attentive staff. We had an absolute blast out here and will certainly return: a tout a l'heure 👋

Unfortunately the meal was not as good as prior occasions. What has been a reliable good standard restaurant has dropped, which may be due to staff changes or the doubling of tables impacting service. Service was slow and the menu options have reduced, I'm a meat eater and still options are good but my vegetarian wife could only order a veggie burger which doesn't align with the rack of lamb I ordered, her order came under cooked and frankly for the cost it's not acceptable. For four people, two £30 house order wines, for starters and mains and nothing else it was £220 which is too steep for

Really good tradition French cuisine served in a lively buzzy restaurant. Food is delicious, service how it should be, this is what lunch out is all about. Two course £20.00 you can't go wrong.. Highly recommend

We were booked in here by our son for my wife’s birthday whilst spending some time in the area what a great choice. From the minute we walked through the door we couldn’t have been made more welcome. Unusual to find a french restaurant in an English pub but it really does work. The choice, quality and service were excellent, staff were attentive but not in your face. Wouldn’t hesitate in eating there again when next in the area.
