Physiotherapy is used for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries including back and neck pain and general aches and pains in the muscles, tendons andjoints etc. At Hill Physiotherapy we specialise in spinal problems as well as sports injuries such as muscle pulls and tears. We have close links with leading surgeons and consultants, so that when required, further diagnosis and investigation (MRI, X-rays or ultrasound) are obtainable.
This ensures that your problem can be dealt with efficiently. Another area we specialise in is post-operative rehabilitation. This is vital after any surgery to speed up recovery time and allow you to get back to the lifestyle you enjoy. All our physiotherapists are Chartered Physiotherapists and are allowed to use the title M.C.S.P.

We are also able to give our clients specific exercise programs for their conditions such as tendon injuries or improving spinal movement patterns and control. Manual therapy including joint mobilisation, manipulation and massage has been used since the time of the ancient Greeks. Muscles often become either too tight or weak due to pain or inability to exercise properly.
Being chartered physiotherapists' means that our treatments are recognised by the medical profession and all major health insurance companies. Patients may reclaim their fees subject to the terms and conditions of their personal medical cover. It is advisable to check with the insurance company as conditions and limits do vary.
The initial visit for physiotherapy will involve a consultation where the history of your problem is taken, along with a musculoskeletal assessment and a full treatment. Please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing such as shorts and t shirt. The physiotherapist will then tell you what needs to be done to return you to every day activity or sport.
