Fairway Physiotherapy Clinic
Our Chartered Physiotherapists have extensive clinical knowledge and many years of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitation. Fairway Physiotherapy is based across 2 sites, with a clinic in Featherstone and a second based within Rothwell Sports Centre. Our Featherstone clinic comprises modern, well-equipped individual treatment rooms and Rothwell has a treatment room and state of the art gymnasium.

This is ideal for all rehabilitation needs including recovery from sport injuries, post-operative joint replacement or ligament reconstruction.
Services
There is usually no need to see the GP before having physiotherapy and many patients simply contact the clinic directly to book an appointment. Alternatively your Consultant or GP may recommend you to the clinic. Physiotherapists work closely with GP's and Consultants and will keep them advised of treatment undertaken and progress made.
Controls pain by gently stimulating the nerves. The stimulation 'blocks' the pain and encourages your body to release its own natural painkillers. Provides instant deep, long lasting pain relief whilst accelerating the basic healing process through relaxing stiff and aching muscles. Provides a pelvic tilt ensuring the hips are higher than the knees and helps to maintain correct sitting posture.
All our physiotherapists are trained to degree level and are Chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). Julie trained at Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy and qualified in 1991. She obtained a Post Graduate Certificate In Manipulation from Sheffield Hallam University in 1999.
We are committed to providing an excellent service and pride ourselves on giving the best available evidence-based physiotherapy treatment in a timely manner, getting you better - quicker! The Featherstone Clinic is a modern, purpose-built ground floor building. It is in a central location ideally placed to serve the population of Featherstone, Normanton, Castleford, Pontefract, Wakefield, Hemsworth and surrounding villages.

First time at a physio for a pain in my left elbow.
Staff eminently friendly and approachable. Kind and professional specialist saw me. Settles you in with general discussion of lifestyle and your physical activity level. The therapist was quick to identify the nature of my injury, and performed gentle stress tests in order to ascertain the best route to proceed.
Very honest, give you exactly what you need and don't strong arm you into a weekly session unless needed. 10/10 Highly Recommend :(
