You should to stay indoors, please DO NOT come into the Practice, call your GP or if your surgery is closed ring NHS 24 (111) informing them of your symptoms. Do not leave home until you have been given advice by a clinician. If you DO NOT have symptoms and are looking for general information, a free helpline has been set up on 0800 028 2816.

The public can be assured that Scotland is always well prepared for these types of outbreak and will remain vigilant. We have a proven track record of dealing with challenging health issues and have established public health and infectious disease experts working round the clock. This will be on an individual basis and a form will be required for each family member.
Services
The GP also consults on an appointments basis from 10:30 - 12:00 on more time-sensitive issues such as chronic disease clinics, travel advice, women's health, etc. Non-urgent enquiries and appointment requests should be made while reception is staffed. In the event of an emergency during these hours, the GP may be required to visit a patient urgently at home or to attend an accident.
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:00. You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay). It is up to your employer to decide whether you are incapable of work.
You can now register to receive information by text message on your phone regarding appointments and health care. If practices are sending messages about recommended treatment for the management of a specific health issue, then this is defined as providing appropriate care for patients, not marketing purposes.
We have made a slight change to our prescription form. The form is very similar to the old form and self explanatory but you will need to delete any bookmarks you have to the old form as it will no longer be available. If you take regular medications then you will find a list of your medicines attached to each prescription.
