Halifax's heritage is as diverse as it is interesting, too much to cover here but the following links will give you some idea of it's splendid Victorian architecture, the modern architecture of the Halifax Building Society's [HBOS] building, industrial heritage, theatres, museums and historic gems - much of it based on the past textile industries when carpet weaving and cloth manufacturing were major sources of wealth.
You might think that being semi-rural your evening meal would be a problem - well don't worry! The Sportsman Inn is but a stones throw away and they serve food Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also close-by is the superb 16th century Shibden Mill Inn with a choice of bar meals or a la carte dining in the restaurant (booking advisable - Tel: 01422 365840).
Pule Cottage is situated at the end of a row of 18th century crofters' cottages set in a unique position high above Halifax and benefits from magnificent views over a vast expanse of rural countryside that is Calderdale. With the town of Halifax sitting in the valley below, and still only 5 minutes away by car, this is what makes Pule Holiday Cottage unique - 'The Setting'.

Fantastic B&B & host George and Karen make you feel very welcomed you will not find another place like it with very reasonable prices too low in fact.. A polite warning you will need a very good appetite to clear George's full English breakfast , I travel all over the UK using B&B's & you won't find a better Breakfast.

Stopped at the lovely bed and breakfast in November with children .... Owners are warm welcoming and friendly. The b&b is spotless and decorated to a high standard. The bed I wanted to take home as you just melted into it and there was a great choice for breakfast ... Have already recommend to family and will definitely be checking availability when we come up again.
