All visits, including those for fitting, aftercare, and repair of spectacles, are by appointment only. Our eye examination appointments are spaced at 1 hour intervals to ensure social distancing and enabling us to thoroughly clean and sanitise the premises between appointments. We are using our advanced technology in the consulting room to avoid having to come into close contact with patients.

There is no "browsing" in our practice. Frames are presented to you on trays as part of a one-to-one eyewear styling consultation with one of our registered opticians. It's enjoyable, unhurried, safe, and without obligation to purchase. We are now a private eye care practice with limited NHS availability.

Pike Opticians is a truly independent optical practice. Our directors (registered opticians John and Catherine Pike) are in attendance and we only employ qualified staff to carry out eye examinations and dispensing.

We supply lenses from many different manufacturers. From the most basic plastic single-vision to top of the range varifocal designs, we can cater for almost any prescription. We are experienced in thin lens technology and can ensure that even high-powered prescriptions are cosmetically as appealing as possible.
