The farm is located in the Yorkshire Wolds just a couple of miles from the North York Moors National Park and yet with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park as well.
However, it is also just a 10 minute drive from the market towns of Thirsk and Northallerton, so there are plenty of shops, cafes and excellent Restaurants within easy reach. The City of York is a 30-40 minute drive away and Harrogate, Ripon and Knaresborough are also easily accessible as is the North Yorkshire coast.

Janet and I stayed in the Byre whilst her sister and brother in law stayed in the Granary, for 4 days ( 3 nights ) W/c 24th May 2021. The accommodation is finished to a truly high standard and everything you could want is there. The location is superb and whilst the ladies went walking we took advantage of a spot of fishing in the well stocked lake. Whilst the weather could have been a little kinder, it didn’t dampen our spirits and we had a really relaxing time. A few nice meals out at local pubs, and a few pints down at the Dog and Gun in the village were thoroughly enjoyed. Jeff and Tangles

Just arrived a couple of hours ago. Absolutely gob smacked. What a lovely bolthole within 25 miles of Middlesbrough and about 7 from Thirsk. Beautiful open plan set up with central log burner. Both bedrooms are served by en suite. One double bed and the other a queen. Tennis court for the sport lovers and a coarse fishing pond for the wannabe angler. Gear supplied. Stables if you want to bring your own horse for a holiday. Children's playground and to top it all a pub which serves great food (outside for now) a short walk away.

Just spent 4 days here what a fantastic place the owner Jeff has thought of everything you don't need to take anything except your clothes and food if you want to cook. I spent 4 days fishing the last time was 40 years ago and what a great time I had. Any problems Jeff is always on hand to sort them out nothing is a problem to him. We would Highly recommend this place for a stay it's great.

Beautiful cottages, very tastefully decorated and superbly equipped. Each one with a patio area and bbq, charcoal provided. Fabulous little park on site and a tennis court too. Came here with my sisters and Mum for a long weekend. Mum had the Shippen cottage which is adapted for wheelchair users and we had the byre too. This is such a lovely place to chill and enjoy the peace. My 2 grandchildren came to stay overnight and had a brilliant time using the park and trampoline and then enjoyed the worst game of tennis ever! We all loved the horses and would have loved to have enjoyed the fishing lake
