Our Sun Street Opticians is located in the heart of the historical town of Waltham Abbey at 31 Sun Street. We have been established since 1987 and have proudly served the eyecare needs of the local community ever since. When you walk through our doors you will experience the professionalism, expertise, care and relaxing atmosphere of our family-friendly Sun Street Opticians.
Varifocal lenses combine a distance and reading prescription in one lens, but rather than a visible step to the reading area (as with bifocals) there is a smooth transition down the lens. Not only does a varifocal lens look better cosmetically, it also gives a portion of the lens suitable for viewing objects at arms length, such as a computer screen or prices on shop shelves, which can be awkward to view with a bifocal.
Glasses can be intimidating for kids, they want to look cool and mum & dad want the frames to survive the rigors of school and the playground, oh and last for more than one week! Both kids and parents love our wide range of kids frames which includes Nano Vista, Ray-Ban, Lindberg, ZooBug, Whiz Kids and more.

After having a disastrous time with the competition up the road I decided to return to where my history/records are.
It was the best thing I could have done!!
I now have the correct prescription and perfect vision again.
I can't praise Ashley and the staff highly enough for their patience and professionalism.

After having a very thorough eye test I was told that I needed verifocals. The friendly staff helped me choose a pair of frames. I was a bit concerned that it would take me a while to get used to my new glasses, but much to my surprise, as soon as I put them on I could see and read perfectly. Thanks to the accurate measuring of my eyes using new technology.
