Huffkins Stow
Huffkins is an award-winning British bakery and caf tea rooms, established c.1890 in the Cotswolds town of Burford. Our founder, Mr Titcomb baked in a tiny Cotswold stone cottage, delivering freshly-baked goods from a wood fired oven by donkey & cart. Our new state-of-the-art bakery was built in the Spring of 2021, featuring the highest grade equipment.

But our most important tool is our hands. Fully-trained craft bakers hand make and bake in small batches, using time-honoured family recipes. Ingredients are sourced locally in the Cotswolds for the highest quality and authenticity. At Huffkins, you'll always enjoy warm and knowledgeable hospitality.
Services
Our fresh lardy cake is the all-time best seller in our tea rooms. These gorgeously sticky lardy cake buns are enriched with sugar, spices, sultanas and currants. Made by hand in our family-run craft bakery, they are naturally risen using fresh yeast before being baked on the stone elements of our traditional deck ovens.

In the centre of London you sometimes just want to take a time out, Huffkins on the fourth floor of John Lewis is the ideal place, quiet, relaxed with pleasant staff and a nice menu choice.

I took my daughter for afternoon tea for her birthday as we were in London for the day. I pre booked on line for the price of £34.95 but on the day was charged £39.95. I had to go to the counter to order the drinks and type of scones we wanted . The sandwiches were not finger sandwiches but were normal bread just cut in half like you would do at home, far too big for an afternoon tea. Although the cakes were lovely , I was given one mug of coffee and my daughter a pot of tea. The customer service was quite poor. Not a great experience, very disappointing.

Love this romantic natural light sorta environment , very comfortable to sit at and chill. Got a little raised platform area nearby the windows and you get a nice city view.
They also have round tables for groups of 4-5 .
Good selection of bakery and coffee ! Great to rest after some hours of shopping !

Brilliant service, very friendly and the Victoria Slice is the best Victoria sponge cake I've ever tried - and that's my favourite cake so I've tried it in a lot of places! Would absolutely go back!

Arrived well packages in perfect condition with my fudge - gorgeous and crumbly and shortbread - still to try.. Will be ordering again for sure. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You can find this Huffkins tucked in the 4th floor of the John Lewis flagship store on Oxford Street.
Everything you would expect from a good coffee shop. Tried their chocolate eclair which was great - fresh cream and good quality chocolate. Staff are very friendly, helpful and are doing a good job. Food and beverages are delivered to your table once you've ordered and paid at the counter.
On the day I visited, it was blistering hot for London 🔥 and the AC system was not working which made the 'experience' slightly uncomfortable. Upon asking the staff, they were really apologetic and had already

Popped into Huffkins in Stow-on-the-Wold for a quick bite before starting my day. I love to try the foods the "locals" eat when I travel, so when the friendly woman behind the counter at Huffkins told me about the Scotch Eggs, I knew they needed to tasted. Super fresh eggs and perfectly seasoned sausage in a buttery, crispy crumb crust, oh were they delicious! Huffkins just gave me one more reason to visit the Cotswolds.

This place is such a treat and a little treasure. I feel of a bygone time with flowers and a lovely twist. Finding this in a department store is such a lovely surprise.
We went at a quiet time so we could sit at the tables overlooking the back of the store, which has a lovely view of a small park and you can see see nice parts of London.
He felt unhurried so could spend our time relaxing, enjoying the scones and being happy.
I will definitely come back here if I'm in the area.

Decided to stop in this place in the late afternoon for tea when visiting Stow on the Wold. Was a nice tea experience for a decent price. Teas were tasty and the pastries and sandwiches were great! Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick tea service.

Looks nice and fancy and appears popular with the locals. Don't know why as the coffee and pastries were subpar.

Superb location right on the square in a historic but cheery grade 2 listed building. Fairly large lunch menu. Local beers and ciders available at a reasonable cost. At least four options for afternoon tea, depending on appetite, and the tea itself seemed good to my uneducated Yank palette. Excellent service.

This boils down to a fast food tea shop experience. Loud, busy, quick, dingy. The mugs were dirty, the food average, the atmosphere unimaginative. There are plenty of other places for tea; find one of them.

On first glance it looks like a very quaint Tea Rooms however the menu was more extensive than one would expect. Not conforming to the traditional menu I decided to go for the chicken, bacon and mushroom pie. The pie lacked filling and the chips felt that they had been left sitting out under a hot lamp. My partner went for one of the specials and the red onion marmalade was amazing. It was great, apart from the same issue with the chips. Overall I have mixed feelings but maybe I should've stuck to the traditional tea room dishes. (Visit - 07/11/2014 Lunch)
