Dangerfields Bakery
Louis Dangerfield set up the bakery in 1928 in the kitchens of the family pub - The New Inn. We've come a long way since then. Fairy cakes, Swiss rolls, Mince pies, Jam tarts, Viennese whirls, Spicy biscuits, Yoghurt dipped flapjack and the famous Gloucestershire lardy cake. Dangerfields is a family run bakery based in Kings Stanley near Stroud in Gloucestershire.

We produce our own bread and confectionery on site and deliver it to retailers, sandwich makers and cafes in a wide area going from Stratford Upon Avon in the North down to Bristol, Bath and Swindon in the South. Our confectionery can also be found in shops in Devon and other places along the South Coast.
Services
Dangerfields Bakery was set up in 1928 by Louis Dangerfield to supplement the income earned through "The New Inn", the family pub. Back in the early days the bakery produced solely for the local villages - King's Stanley and Leonard Stanley. Our products were delivered door to door. In the early day bicycles and horse and cart were used to make deliveries.
We produce an extensive range of breads and rolls and still manage to use only the finest ingredients from well known and long standing suppliers. Our flour supplier uses only home grown wheat and is the very best quality available. Our craft bakers have many years of experience with knowledge and skills passed down from their predecessors.
We pride ourselves on producing the highest quality celebration cakes for any occasion - whether it is for someone's birthday, a wedding, a christening, or any other reason. Our specialist confectioners can produce cakes in all shapes and sizes, and decorate them to your specification. We will decorate the cake in any way you wish, we can even produce edible pictures.
Come early morning our bakers depart to allow room for our experienced confectioners to produce a extensive range of confectionery to satisfy anybody's taste buds. Our sweet products include - Chelsea and Belgium Buns; Doughnuts; Eccles and Rock Cakes; Danish Pastries; Plain, Fruit and Cherry Scones; Flapjacks; Muffins; Jam Tarts; Fruit Slices and the Gloucestershire favourite Lardy Cake.

Just enjoyed your Jam and Crème doughnuts with a cup of tea! Very tasty, not too sweet and nice soft dough.

Google makes some odd suggestions. Didn't visit the place, though the hovis bread lorry was expertly reversed off the main road and down the narrow lane. Kudos to the driver.
