Tender Loving Care (TLC) is a family owned business, which has been opened since summer 2006. TLC is now a well-established childcare centre, with very good repute in the local and wider community. TLC received grades of Very Good in all aspects at our last care Commission Inspection in conjunction with very positive feedback from our service users regarding the high standard of our premises and the care we provide to our children.
TLC is situated in the Hillhead area of Kirkintilloch. The childcare centre is ideally located within walking distance of the town centre and is easily accessed from surrounding areas. The centre benefits from having three garden areas and it's own large car park.

Services
Our main aim at TLC is to create a safe and caring environment for children from the age of 6 weeks to 11 years. Parents are assured that their children will be cherished and looked after, whilst benefitting from the same traditions and values of home. We aim to provide the highest level of childcare possible, within carefully planned routines, and within an environment which provides each child with happiness and security.
Within the baby and 2-3 rooms staff are guided by the Pre-Birth to Three curriculum which identifies Rights of the Child, Relationships, Responsive Care and Respect as the key principles for effective practice. Our baby room has been specially designed to provide a bright, warm, cosy and well equipped environment for babies from 6 weeks until they are around the age of 2 years, then they will then progress on to our 2-3 department.
Within the toddler age group, play becomes more identifiable so the emphasis is on physical activity. With this in mind we plan our specific toddler activities for 'play with a purpose'. During this age and stage of development there are incredible and joyous physical milestones to look forward to such as the development of speech and subsequent ability to communicate with others.
The philosophy of After School Care at TLC is that children should be allowed time for unstructured play after their school day, in a safe, warm and caring environment where all children feel they are special and that they belong. The children will be collected from school by a member of staff. The cost of transport is included in the fees.
We at TLC acknowledge the importance of children getting out and about, exercising or simply breathing fresh air on a daily basis. We will therefore ensure that outings are a regular feature of your child's day, with visits to local parks, shops or other places of interest. TLC benefits from a large well equipped secure garden, which has a grassed and also another area, which has been surfaced using 'Playtop' rubberised safety surfacing.
