We're a 5 bedroom family run guesthouse located in Kinlochleven, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands with the West Highland Way passing in front of the house. Surrounded by the sheer mountains of Glencoe and the spectacular Mamores Range, facing River Leven and with 10 munros walkable directly from the house, Forest View offers a perfect shelter for outdoor enthusiast, photographer and nature lovers alike.
Our central location, half way between Glencoe and Ben Nevis in Fort William makes it an ideal base to explore both iconic places and more local hidden treasures that we'd be thrilled to make you discover. For travellers from other parts of the UK, we hope to welcome you as soon as the travel restrictions allow (hopefully not too long).

Services
After having lived and travelled in different places, we decided it was about time to achieve the long time dream of having a guesthouse. We decided on the Highlands as it encompasses the wilderness and freedom that we've only found in vast far far away provinces but close from home. Opening with our little boy has been a rewarding and successful challenge and he's been the best concierge ever since.
Individually decorated, our 5 bedrooms offer the cosiness and comfort you'll be seeking after a long day outside. We pride ourselves with the attention to details and hope you'll find a home away from home here at Forest View Guesthouse. Our spacious triple room occupies the whole loft, boasting views on the mountains from both sides.
If you dream of Scottish postal card landscapes, rumbling white waters, unforgiving mountains, lush forest, rather you want to photograph it or explore it on foot, on bike, by car, Kinlochleven is for you.
Just a 10 min drive away from Glencoe village and its eerie valley and a scenic 30 min drive to Fort William, getaway to the highest peak of UK, Ben Nevis, makes it a perfect place to base yourself to both enjoy off the beaten track natural gems and more popular spot of the Western Highlands.

Kinlochleven is a real outdoor paradise, with unlimited possibilities to experience the great Scottish wilderness on your own. And with both summer and winter activities, it's an all year round playground! Kinlochleven is the penultimate stop of the West Highland Way which ushes in front of the house.

I stayed here at the recommendation of another hiker and will be passing the same recommendation on to others. Staying here was an absolute delight and Sarah gave us all sorts of suggestions for food and activities both in Kinlochleven and for our stay in Fort William. Clean house, great food, really can’t say enough!

Absolutely lovely, warm and comfy house run by a friendly, amiable young couple. It feels very much like staying with friends, yet with the privacy and space needed to properly unwind. We were offered freshly baked cookies soon after arrival, and provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and excellent facilities. There's also an impressive selection of books and DVDs, and nice soft beds. I can't recommend a stay here highly enough, nor can I thank Jack and Sarah enough for their hospitality.

Cosy, tastefully decorated B&B with high quality furniture, bedding, bathroom etc. Hosts were friendly with lots of recommendations for the local area e.g. where to swim. Breakfast was excellent. Shame we only stayed for one night. Would definitely return if I do the West Highland Way again or if I'm in the area for another reason.

I have stayed here for the past 2 nights with my husband and children (11 and 9). I was sad to be leaving. It is surrounded by mountains, has a beautiful waterfall within very close proximity (a couple of hundred metres) and a fast flowing river with a gushing inlet, again within a very short walking distance. The breakfast was excellent and Sarah and Jack offered a few items that were not on the menu for the children. Last night we could not get into a local eaterie and had to get fish and chip take-out. When we returned the table in the breakfast room had been laid for us and condiments offered

Stayed here on our last night of the West Highland Way.
What a lovely place! Clean and tidy and cosy. We were even offered freshly baked cookies upon our arrival which were delicious.
The breakfast was lovely and the couple who rub the place were so friendly and kind.
Would highly recommend staying here and if I'm ever silly enough to the the West Highland Way again I'll be booking to stay here!

We had wonderful stay at Forestview Guesthouse. We were welcomed with freshly made cookies which were amazing and particularly welcome after a long trip. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfy. Breakfasts were excellent - I would particularly recommend the porridge with pecans and choc chips!
Sarah and Jack were fantastic hosts . Sarah was so knowledgable about the area and really did go out of her way to give us recommendations for day trips and hikes - she even went as far as writing us a suggested itinerary for our day trips including great restaurant recommendations
