As pub locations go, they don't come better than the Queens Arms at Litton in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The five-mile detour off the busy main Grassington to Kettlewell Road is well worth it for the stunning scenery and heartening hospitality at the quaint 17th- century inn.
In 2012 the pub found itself under local ownership and an extensive but tasteful refurbishment took our beautiful white washed pub back to its former glory. All our staff are friendly family or locals, including talented chef Matt. His outstanding home-cooked food offers all you could dream of on a pub menu, plus a little waft of the contemporary to keep things interesting.

Services
We have four charming and newly refurbished guest rooms available, all with en suite shower rooms. Each takes inspiration from the Littondale landscape, with luxuriously comfortable beds, beams and low windows, pine furniture and country colours. POTTS is our Family Room sleeping up to 5 in a double room and linked twin room with en suite, this room is also dog friendly.
We serve a selection of beers including Lamb Brewing Company Pale Ale, Bitter and Dark Mild alongside Tetleys Original Cask, Guiness, Aspall Cider and Starapramen and also introduce new beers on a regular basis. We think we have a small but interesting wine list supplied by local Julian of The Wright Wine Company which is available by the glass or bottle and also a warming range of malts and cognacs.

Visited with the family whilst staying locally on a short break. Reassuring Covid-secure with all staff wearing masks, with a decent selection of fine brewed-onsite ales (try the IPA) and a substantial food menu including some wonderful specials and the artisan pie menu. We ate in the lounge area which was nice enough but felt a bit empty and unfurnished, and a tad uncomfortable ... a few cushions and upholstery on the benches would have made this a five-star review.

Just returned from a 2 day break at the Queens Arms. Michelle and Matt are great hosts and despite suffering major disruption including power loss and no water after Storm Arwen swept through the Dales we had a great time. The atmosphere at the pub is so friendly and is popular with the locals all 70 of them the food is to die for and everything is beautifully presented.

Came to the pub on the recommendation of a book I have on pub walks in Yorkshire. After a nice walk with our flat coated retrievers on an unfortunately drizzly day, we arrived at the pub and were greeted by very friendly staff and a roaring fire which dried us off pretty quickly. Perfect! The food was very good and the portion sizes were very generous as well. We will definitely be coming to the pub again in the spring when the weather is nicer.

Stayed here for 1 night on Saturday 6th November 2021. The room was lovely and cosy and even provided tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We arrived early and the hosts had no problems letting us in our room (they even put the heating on for us!). The Bar area has a roaring real fire and is a real country pub. The food and hosts are exceptional! I… would defo recommend the award winning Lamb pie. Full english breakfast in the morning included in the price was again exceptional. Cannot recommend this place enough and would definitely love to stay here again.

THE best pies I've ever eaten. If you're staying anywhere near Litton, then make the trip over to this little gem of a pub! Delicious food, friendly staff, open fire, and fantastic local ale.
The pub wasn't open Mondays when I visited in October. The pub is small, so definitely worth booking. Some parking available, or on the road nearby. Or plenty of waking routes to the village!

Last weekend I was there for a family meal for 11 of us. The food was amazing. The prawns were beautiful in the starter, the main of scampi also delicious & the dessert was amazing.
It's been a long time since I've had such fresh and lovely food.
The service was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for making our meal out so enjoyable.

Wonderful place. Beautiful scenery, good food, and the have their own brewery ale for something different(Lamb). We got the roast pork Sunday roast, with a black pudding appetizer, and a lamb pie. The black pudding appetizer was delicious with bacon, cheese and a mustard sauce with it. Lamb pie and roast pork were quite good, though a tad overcooked for our taste (well done, common in England), but still very tender and seasoned well. Will be recommending this to friends and likely bringing house guests here. Good food and a beautiful drive in the Dales. Wonderful.
