Services
If you would like to collect a prescription from Hulland Ward, please let dispensary know when placing the order. We will be closed for the statutory bank Holidays. When we are closed please contact 111 for medical advice or in a medical life threatening emergency call 999. We will also close on monthly or bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month for the afternoon.
For minor ailments you do not always need to see your GP, these could be treated at homes such as sore throats, cough or blocked nose. The local Pharmacist can provide advise and over the counter medication for a number of ailments such as high temperature, diarrhoea, emergency contraception, cystitis etc.
All GP appointments are telephone first, the GP will then agree a time to see you face to face if they/you feel it is needed. Appointments are normally ten minute slots, so if you have a complicated problem, or more than one problem, please ask for an extended appointment. You have a right to express a preference for the practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the Doctor of your choice.
We collect and hold data about you for the purpose of providing safe and effective healthcare. Your information may be shared with our partner organisations to audit services and help provide you with better care. We will only share your information outside of our partner organisations with your consent*.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance. House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
