Scamps were one of the first after-school care providers in the Teddington area and have provided first-class childcare for over two decades. We are now seeing the second generation of many local families. We are very proud of the commitment, dedication and retention of our highly qualified and experienced staff team.
As well as the staff, we have a dedicated group of parents who form the Scamps Board. Scamps are non-profit making, run entirely for the benefit of our members - so all income after expenses is used to provide the best possible service to you and your family. All parents who use Scamps are members.

Services
Parents and carers are encouraged to get involved with the running of SCAMPS in any way they can. SCAMPS is there to provide high-quality provision at the minimum cost. All parents/carers of children attending SCAMPS are required to become members of the company. This allows them to vote at a General Meeting, and to stand for election to the board.
Debbie introduced the Early Years provision to Scamps in 2001. Passionate about creating an ethos within the team for providing a rich learning environment, working in partnership with families, and most importantly, having an individual approach to each child because every child is unique. Debbie holds a BA in Early Years Care and Education and also Early Years Teacher Status.

We strongly believe that all children are born with immense potential and quality early learning helps our children begin to realise that potential and build a strong foundation for later learning and for life.Scamps were one of the first after-school care providers in the Teddington area and have provided first-class childcare for over two decades.

During the Summer Holidays in 2021, as part of the site redevelopment, Scamps will move into the soon-to-be refurbished Strathmore Centre. This means we can't run Holiday Club this summer. I couldn’t recommend Scamps more highly! I am delighted that it was recommended to me by local mums. The level of thought and care that goes into each individual child’s happiness and development is exceptional. My twins are immensely happy there - they learn new skills every day through play. They plant flowers and veg and watch them grow; they watched chicks hatch and are now taking care of them; they cook; they can now speak a little French (and sing lots of French songs); they are taught health and safety in a fun way and they are exploring new exciting things about the world every

I have used scamps over the past 12 years for my three children. The kids have really enjoyed it. The staff are excellent and I think the slightly more laid back approach has helped my children to enjoy it, as it feels different to their school experience. They particularly like the football and trampoline! 😀
