Specialising in diabetic foot disease and offloading painful pathologies including the prescription of bespoke insoles, attending this clinic you will benefit from this wealth of experience. Services
Painful feet, knees or hips, flat feet or a leg length discrepancy may warrant the prescription of a bespoke insole. Made to measure your exact requirements, a bespoke insole may prove to be a worthwhile investment to alleviate the discomfort you are experiencing. Tailor made to many shoe types tailor made insoles can fit into a wider range of footwear, allowing you the choice in your shoe wearing preferences.
Verrucae are warts that commonly occur on the soles of the feet or around the toes, caused by the human papilloma virus. The virus is thought to thrive in moist, damp environments such as swimming pools and communal shower areas. Verrucae are harmless but can become painful if they develop on a weight bearing area of the foot.
Suffering from cramps in your legs when you walk, or during the night? Your circulation could be impaired. The Podiatry clinic offers a rapid doppler assessment including the advanced ABPI technique to assess your circulation. Results of this examination are provided instantaneously, with any concerns communicated to your GP or local vascular surgeon on the same day.
It is recommended that every person with Diabetes should benefit from an annual assessment. Diabetes related foot problems are often preventable, and it can be beneficial to know the risk factor assigned to your feet. Appointments will last for up to 60 minutes and include a vascular assessment, neurological assessment with the use of a 10g monofilament and full assessment of your associated risk factors.
Finding it difficult to cut your own nails? Suffering from a painful corn, or want all of your hard skin removing fully and professionally a Podiatrist can be of help to all of these problems. Regular, routine care can keep your feet in the best condition and will allow for the detection of potential problems as early as possible.
