OMG We have driven past this pub hundreds of times and never been here, but after a walk we came in today for an evening meal. The food was beautiful, the staff were attentive, the Truffle Hog pizza was delicious as were the desserts. All this in a beautiful old pub. My only criticism was was the nasty, cheap mayonnaise. I'll be bringing my own next time.

Sadly after my last 5 star review, I booked a week in advance to treat my visiting chum from London to White Hart hospitality. We were offered a table by the bar and door, crowded with happy Friday night chaps enjoying an almost certainly well deserved pint where we would have been staring at their bottoms and unable to hear each other to catch up. As older ladies, a sight no longer holding any charm. The restaurant was quiet and apparently unable to offer a civilised spot. We sadly left and picked up a Domino's on the way home to PJs and Prosecco. My disappointment in hitherto exemplary experience

Shame this place seems to be going down hill, food quality and service and basic customer needs are slipping. We used to be regular users but it seems the management are greedy, full of rowdy drinkers when you’re trying to dine. Not the same friendly pub we used to visit earlier in the year, the owner was in the papers recently too, interesting read! If we want a pub we go to the kings head, The Hart was always a pleasant dining experience but with slipping food and bad service we will go elsewhere from now on

Me and 2 friends with 5 dogs between us arrived after sheltering from the rain, wanting to sit outside. The staff could not have been more helpful, opening a side gate and finding us a table with dry seating. They brought out drinks and menus and constantly checked that we were ok. The food was great too. Will definitely go back.

This was my first visit to The White Hart and I was meeting my friends, some who I hadn't seen in 2 years, so was really looking forward to seeing them. We decided on the White Hart as it was a good location for us all coming from different places. We had a really lovely time, I couldn't fault anything, especially with working in the hospitality industry I know the struggle a lot of places are having with staff shortages so wasn't sure what to expect. We really enjoyed our evening and Charlotte, who was serving, was fantastic and really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble and

Lovely meal in a relaxed setting. Really enjoyed a meal here with friends last night. Full at 5.30pm which shows how popular it is however despite being very busy staff were welcoming, friendly and offered great service. We really enjoyed all the courses and were given more than the £10 per head government discount. A great evening. Will definitely be back.
