Windmill Church of England Primary School is a school with a big heart. We are a community built around our core values of inspiration, belief and achievement. We have provided a cornerstone in the lives of our families and believe that together or apart, we inspire each other to be the best version ourselves.

The vision captures, in three words, our aim for our children to be socially, morally, spiritually and academically ready for their future. Our children will be an inspiration to the others, with the courage and conviction to be advocates for those who are disadvantaged, treated unfairly or are not included.

Governors work as a team. They are responsible for making sure the school provides a good quality education for all pupils. Raising educational standards in school is a key priority. This has the best chance of happening when there are high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Governors promote effective ways of teaching and learning when setting the school aims and policies.

We have a duty to ensure children are safe. In school we do this by making sure that everyone who comes into the building is suitable to work with children. We also work hard to minimise risk in the grounds and building. If we have concerns about the safety of any children we have a policy in school, parents are welcome to read this policy.

The Local Offer has been developed as part of the new Children and Families Act. It aims to provide information on education, health and social care provision available for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs, in a way that can be accessed quickly and easily.
