Our team of carers have been working together for many years, some for over 10 years. We believe it is important for them to grow professionally, up skill and continue to feel inspired within their role. This gives us the cutting edge over our competitors. Our practitioners are part of our family, they are highly skilled and specialise in babies, toddlers and young children.
We provide a nurturing, educational and loving nursery for babies, toddlers and young children in a 'home from home' environment. Established in 2006, Shannon ChildCare is an innovative and forward-thinking establishment based in Edgware, North London. All our nurseries are situated within walking distance of Edgware Tube and Bus Station and nearby links with Mill Hill Overground Station.
We know that children thrive on daily routine as it gives them a sense of security. Therefore we ensure each day is carefully structured whilst leaving enough time for spontaneous activities to take place too. For babies requiring a morning sleep there are rooms, made available, with mattresses and cot beds; we follow your routine as much as possible.
At Shannon ChildCare we are proud of our teams and staff retention. We are passionate about working with highly experienced and qualified practitioners. The majority of our carers work across the three settings, this enables them to experience working within different environments and learning from other professionals; it also provides variety.
Shannon ChildCare has a 5 Star Hygiene rating from the Environmental Health. We understand the importance of providing healthy, well-balanced and interesting meals for our children. Ensuring a variety of different and delicious foods means that children really enjoy and look forward to mealtimes.
A person with nutritional knowledge has specially created our pescatarian plus vegetarian menus and our on-site chef prepares each meal daily using fresh vegetables and fruit.Our lunch and teatime meals are always freshly cooked. Parents are emailed our weekly menus and we are constantly trying different dishes.

If you are looking for a job within a nursery setting please AVOID this place! The owner is extremely rude, she will mess around and cause you a lot of stress. I went for a job interview years ago and I had a job trial only to not hear back from her and the second time I went back a few years later I did my NVQ 3 in Childcare online and apparently that wasn't good enough plus she went out the gym or shopping whilst I was there leaving her staff in charge and I was only told after my qualification isn't valid despite having years of working in a nursery setting! This nursery is extremely small,

A great place with skilled and friendly staff. They are supportive,trusting, competent and caring. They understand and listen to my concerns and work with me to achieve it.My little boy is very needy and clingy but the staff are amazing and patience with him. I could not be any happier with my choice of nursery. Thank you all for your hard work!!

Quite simply the best start to my children's future. The care and attention to detail, as well as the nurturing and forward thinking approach Shannon provides all the children, is simply the best we could have asked for. Both my children enjoy going to Shannon so much that it is like a second home for them. They have each developed considerably and have both been prepared for the next steps into their education. They are equipped with the best possible skills to help them make even more progress. The staff are incredibly supportive, caring and approachable. Highly recommended setting for children

Our son joined when he was 9 months old. We've watched him grow into a wonderfully happy toddler. He's inquisitive, talkative, passionate about learning, caring, and most important of all, he's loved when he's away from home. He adores his carers and friends and talks about them at weekends. Dropping him off every morning and watching him run inside squealing with joy is one of the best experiences you can have before going to work. We couldn't have chosen a more loving and professional place for him! We've already secured a place for his baby sister who was born a few weeks ago!

We have sent all 3 of our daughters to Shannon and cannot rate the staff and set up highly enough.
Our 18mo daughters squeal with excitement as we pull up each morning and they adore the fun and varied activities organised for them by the amazingly dedicated staff, each and every day.
