Hanging Heaton Golf Club
Rakes are now back on the course with bunkers now in play and flagsticks may now be tended or removed. Rubbish bins will be replaced on the course in the near future and locker rooms, changing facilities and showers are now fully open. In the Clubhouse the wearing of face masks is now optional and the previous table restrictions no longer apply.

The screens around the bar area have also been removed and normal bar service is in operation. Gemma, Scott and the team hope to see you all soon and would like to thank everyone for their continued support and cooperation in following all the required government guidelines. HHGC is already making preparations for our centenary celebrations in 2022.
Services
Hanging Heaton Golf Club was founded in 1922 when a group of seven golf enthusiasts started work on a strip of land above Commonside, Hanging Heaton. They started levelling greens and tees which had to be fenced of to stop farm animals straying onto them. Today that strip of land, which sits above Batley, has returned to its former state, now used by walkers, bike riders and horse riders alike.
Short opening Par 4 with a narrow, two tiered green that is protected well with bunkers left and right. Longer hitters can drive the green but with danger left and right it is a classic risk and reward play. Shorter hitters can choose to hit a tee shot somewhere around the fairway bunker on left which then leaves a shot of around 80 yards to the green.
Gareth runs a well stocked shop and provides a great customer service to all members and visitors. He also has access to all of the latest brands and can order in anything not available in store. Gareth works closely with all major golfing brands - Ping, Titleist, Taylormade, Callaway, Wilson Staff, Nike, Stuburt, Footjoy and Srixon.
Golf happens all year round at Hanging Heaton and members and visitors alike use our custom built simulator all year round. Hanging Heaton Golf Club is leading the way with one of the first GCQuad powered golf simulators in Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Golf Simulator connects the professional shop and the bar so you can enjoy a round of drinks with your round of golf.
My main aim during my captaincy is to implement all the new improvements we have in place, ready for our centenary year in 2022. I've been married to my wife Suzanne for 45 years and we have two sons Carl and Adam. Both started as junior members at HHGC and Carl is still a member today. Adam chose to leave golf to play rugby but still loves to play the game of golf whenever he can.

I go here for lessons but also have a few friends who play here always hear and see exemplary reviews, only downside is the rather lacking parking lot, is rather unorganised and also rather small considering all activities share their car park.

Don't like 9 holers? This course may change your mind. Plenty of character and views to enjoy your golf here. You'll get a friendly reception from staff and members too.

It waa ok as a party venue but they need to review their gin prices, bloody extortionate! £10 for a oibt of lager and a SINGLE gin and tonic! On the plus side the band blind jack I think? We're great!!
