East Bierley Golf Club opened its doors in 1909 and has been based at its current site since 1924 but it is really in the last 20 years that major changes and improvements have taken place. It started with the purchase of the course, the building of a purpose built clubhouse and machinery shed and appointment of a PGA professional.
The 9 hole course measuring 5,189 yards and with a par of 68 offers a true and fair test of your golfing ability, testing your length, judgement and accuracy over the part parkland and part moorland course. After playing why not visit our clubhouse, Here you can experience some of our warm northern hospitality.

A course rating is the evaluation of the playing difficulty of a course for scratch golfers under normal course and weather conditions. It is expressed as strokes taken to one decimal place, and is based on yardage and other obstacles to the extent that they affect the scoring ability of a scratch golfer.
We are delighted to welcome Golf Societies and visiting parties to East Bierley Golf Club, and a selection of packages has been designed to offer quality golf at excellent value whilst also allowing you to tailor the day to suit your requirements. We believe that posting standard offerings are not the best way to show you how accommodating we can be.
You don't have to be a big hitter to enjoy playing our course, sometimes it helps, but its relatively short yardage makes it ideal for most gentlemen golfers, ladies and juniors. There are a couple of small hills, but the course is mostly easy walking. The parkland course protects itself with fairly tight fairways and a variety of hazards, so satisfaction is guaranteed with a moderate amount of accuracy.
1st / 10th A very attractive par 4 to start, a good drive will leave a mid to short iron in to the green offering a chance of a birdie, if you can read the tricky green! A great par 4, mid wood or long iron lay up will leave you a short iron into one of the trickiest Mackenzie greens "be on the right level".

Am not a golfer, but went for our anniversary party on recommendation of several people who had been before.
Only a small club, (think seats up to about 60), so not huge choice of beers, but quite reasonable in relation to size.
Staff really helpful and friendly in arranging our party. Buffet meal ,(hot, cold or mixed) created from good choice of food tailored to our individual requirements.
Tony's meat pie had been recommended, and after tasting it understood why. Delicious.
Ok...they don't take cards, but being aware of this shouldn't cause any problem.
Club bar is open to non members.
