Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly sports club located approximately six miles north-west of Leeds city centre, in the popular residential village of the same name. Nestled away at the top of Cragg Wood, this location allows for spectacular views from the Buckstone Rock, the clubhouse and the recently completed new seating and terrace area.
With further improvements planned, there has never been a better time to join. Originally established around the mid 1870s, the club prides itself on its friendly and relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally well maintained golf course and tennis courts. The golf course is a unique nine-hole parkland course with undulating tree-lined fairways and tricky greens.

Services
Our club offers a rich and varied weekly schedule of events and provides activities for tennis players of any age and ability. Membership not only brings access to all our facilities but allows you to enjoy all forms of tennis including coaching, competitions, social and cardio. Not forgetting, of course, the opportunity to enter the draw for Wimbledon tickets.
Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club is home to an exceptionally well maintained and intricate parkland 9 hole golf course, first established in 1896. 18 unique tee positions present the player with a different challenge through the front and back 9s. An uphill par 5 to start the round along a tree lined fairway.
The club is home to three floodlit all-weather hard courts, three grass courts, three mini grass courts and a practice wall. We have just recently repaired and repainted the courts, again in the eye-catching Wimbledon colours of purple and dark green, and replaced all the perimeter fencing around the hard courts.
You can book our padel court through ClubSpark (using either the Booker mobile app or the web app). Bookings are one hour long, and split into peak and off peak times, with different rates for club members and non members. If you are a club member, please make sure your ClubSpark account is linked to our club, so that you get the corrected discounted booking rate.
Padel is primarily a game of doubles, where four players compete. The scoring system is just the same as normal tennis. However, Padel tennis is played on an enclosed court, with a glass back and sides. Play can continue if the ball bounces off the glass, making Padel like a combination of tennis, squash and racket ball.

Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club is a hidden Gem of a Sports Club and a place to visit. The Golf Course although just nine holes should be given the up most respect as it presents a tough test to Golfers of all abilities.
I have not participated in Tennis at Rawdon but note that this aspect of the Club is very forward looking and to this end the Club have just completed the installation of a special softball court which is the first of its type in our area.
The Club itself presents a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere with very friendly members and staff and a great space for outdoor relaxation
