Mar-Train Heavy Haulage Ltd is a family run business, established in 1978 to provide a local plant haulage service. Based outside Lisburn in Co. Down, the company has expanded rapidly since 1993, to meet the requirements of a niche found in the market. Since then, the company has specialised in heavy haulage and the transport of wind farm components throughout Ireland, UK and Europe.
The fleet now consists of over 20 units and over 60 trailers. The young fleet of tractor units are mainly Volvo and quite often bespoke due to the demanding weights these vehicles carry. The continued success of Mar-Train Heavy Haulage Ltd is largely due to the commitment to provide an excellent, unrivalled customer service, and the attention to detail ensures that customers return again and again for all their transportation requirements.
