Services
Initially based in Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, General Trading Services (GTS) was founded in 1939 by the late John Davis and originally started life as an agricultural merchant's business. In the early days, local hauliers were used to transport the goods, but as the business developed GTS purchased trucks of its own.
For special consignments. At GTS we have the capability to react immediately in order to achieve same day delivery. It doesn't matter if it's a parcel or a pallet, full or part load - we can supply a dedicated vehicle and driver to help our customers meet extreme deadlines. For time sensitive deliveries.
Our GPS vehicle tracking system allows us to pin-point the exact location of our entire fleet. We can quickly manage traffic delays and still ensure that vehicles arrive on time. This system is an important tool which not only allows us to constantly monitor and improve operational planning, but also helps us to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our managed fleet service is tailor-made to the needs of each customer. We can install a fleet of vehicles, in fully livery if necessary, to cover all collection and delivery requirements. Regardless of the size or volume of your deliveries, a flexible, managed fleet can meet all of your business needs.
Whilst we have no control over fuel prices we must take this opportunity to emphasize that GTS do not seek to profit from any fuel surcharge and, in line with rest of the transport industry, we are campaigning for a reduction in the prohibitive cost of fuel for essential users. As a result we use a completely transparent calculation which is communicated each month to all our clients.
