King Robert the Bruce's Cave Caravan & Camp site is situated in the historic grounds of Cove Manor House (formerly Dunskellie Castle) that also houses the famous ancient monument - "King Robert The Bruce's Cave". Built in 1725, Cove house stands in the centre of Cove Estate Park. The house stands on the foundation of Dunskellie Castle which in the 12th and early 13th Century was the home of William Irving of Dunskellie.
The touring Caravan and Camp park today sits in the grounds of Cove House (formerly Dunskellie Castle) in the grounds of Cove Estate. The Park is set in open countryside, bordered by native trees with views across the Solway Firth to the Cumberland Hills beyond. The Park has an excellent children's play park and football pitch set in it's own area so as not to disturb guests wishing a relaxing stay.

Love this site. Fantastic river walks, great river and pond fishing. Clay pigeon shooting on the weekends...can't recommend it enough. *Update 2 years since last visit*: It's been 2 years since I left Scotland and Bruce's Cave still provides me with what are amongst my fondest memories of Scotland on the whole. If you are on the fence about whether to go to this site, get off it and just go...you won't be sorry :)

Electricity and water pipes run side by side and are nowhere near the depth they should be. Any unwanted caravans are taken away about a mile up steam. Not stripped but they dig a hole and bury everything which is causing landslides and pollution to the kirtle water which SEPA will be told about very shortly Have a look at the site in person before spending money. Much nicer scenes aroind.oh and the burning of rubber and all sorts of hazardous materials rather than dispose of properly like every company. MUCH MUCH NICER PLACES TO VISIT and the pan they 5 atat themselves. Keep driv8

We spent a week at the caravan park and used it as our base to get married at Gretna Green. Everyone was very kind, helpful and full of local tourist information. The site has lots of lovely woodland, fishing and a river to walk around. The toilet and shower block were spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

A lovely campsite with really good facilities that were spotless. The staff we met were super friendly and welcoming. We used the site as a stop over site but could of easily spent longer there if time allowed.
Lots of history with the place too which I found interesting. Really good site for kids with 2 play areas, woods and shallow river 2 minute walk away. Would 100% stay here again.
The gents showers could do with some extra hooks and somewhere to put your clothes but apart from that I thought was an excellent site. Thanks
