Bedale Golf Club
The course, opened in 1894, has all the anticipated benefits of the Dales countryside combined with easy walking and good natural drainage. It winds through beautiful 18th Century parkland, formerly a deer park, with wide, tree-lined fairways and long range views of the Wensleydale Hills.

Water comes into play on seven holes and the course is made more challenging by the prevailing Westerly breeze but will provide all levels of golfer with a challenging and enjoyable day's golf. The Club is situated on the outskirts of the thriving Bedale Town Centre, within 3 miles of junction 51 on the A1 and this links to the new A684 relief road which gives golfers a 5-minute journey from the motorway to the club.
Services
A classic risk and reward par 4 to open your round. This is not a long hole but is not one for the faint-hearted. The pond which is short and left of the green will catch any mishit drive. There is also out of bounds to the right which, with the prevailing wind blowing left to right, is always a consideration when using a driver.
The Studio has been built as a result of 3 years effort from a core group of club members and is part of our 'More Golf More Often' project. The project was in two phases with phase 1 the new build Swing Studio and phase 2 the redevelopment of the practice ground area, with enhanced drainage and a short 3 hole academy course.
The course is located in a beautiful parkland setting with many natural features and hazards. Although a challenging course it is suitable for all levels of golfer.

We offer a full golfing calendar which includes our own club competitions including the Claret Jug, Club Championship, a range of Ladies and Juniors competitions as well as a very successful Winter League which boasts over 100 mixed players every 2/3 weeks competing for a highly valued trophy. You also have the opportunity to view the 1st and 18th holes from the clubhouse bar before choosing snacks or a full menu in the dining room.
Bedale is a thriving private members club, which has been in operation for over 110 years. We have a playing membership of approximately 370 members plus an additional 40 or so social members. Our course is located in a beautiful mature parkland setting, with many natural features and hazards. It is a challenging course but one which is suitable for all levels of golfer.
The club is part of the Harrogate and District Union of Golf Clubs, an organisation consisting of 12 clubs stretching from ourselves in the North East down to Ilkley in the South East. This provides the men with both team and individual competition across all the handicap ranges and throughout all of the year.

Greens were outstanding and the whole course looked great considering how little rain we have had in recent weeks.

Probably the nicest parkland course I've played so far. Nice layout. Mainly par 4's. Had an early morning tee off so didn't use any facilities . Easy to find just off the A1 an hours drive from Newcastle . Well worth a look if you want to venture a little further afield.

Good tight course, some slow players caused us to finish in the dark, pity and not the clubs fault!

Superb course with a need always to weigh up shot options; ‘course management’ skills required rather than ‘brute force’🏌🏾‍♂️

Bedale is a fantastic members club where visitors and new members are made really welcome. The course is beautiful, yet challenging and requires the golfer to 'think' their way round. The bar and restaurant… facilities are among the best around and it's no surprise that visitors regularly return to the club. Definitely a 4 star destination ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely golf course, very challenging. Played a match and was beaten 2 and 1. Very friendly people really made you feel welcome. Nice club house. Had a meal after the match, they did not scrimp on the portions, didn't want anything else for the rest of the day.
