To be honest, I have no idea why this restaurant doesn't have five stars straight.
We went there Saturday evening and a reservation would have been a good idea, but we got our seat after ~5 Minutes waiting.
We had a really nice waiter, who explained us everything we didn't know in the menu.
He gave us very good advice which dish to take and what side dish ("If you take this dish, you shouldn't get rice as a side dish. It would be too dry - not enough sauce for the rice").
We ordered a mixed starter plate and this changed everything. The chicken was so good, we had

Ordered takeaway and it was pretty awful. The lentil daal was really oily, so oily that it spilled all over everything else. The curry we ordered was also oily and just not very tasty. Our homemade curries with either the garam masala spices or the Patak's pastes are far nicer and healthier. Overall, it was really disappointing and I doubt we will be tempted there again. I contacted the restaurant about this but never got a response.

Had dinner last night probably my 6th visit in three, four years and regrettably neither of those visits have been a good experience. With a successful sister restaurant in East Grinstead renowned for their unique twist in indian food you go to Nizam Haywards Heath expecting to find the same standard obviously the chef can't be the same but you'd expect to find similar menu and leval of taste in their Murg Kurchan but no. I think Nizam in Haywards Heath is really bagging on the chances that it's more modern deco to draw customers in. The restaurants not big but with four other Indian

We have been frequenting Nizam for over 3 years now and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. Great staff, nice atmosphere - but - most importantly - SUPERB food.
Very highly recommended and worth every penny, (their Bhoona Lamb is sublime, ...just writing this is making me hungry...)

A work colleague suggested we go to Nizam for our monthly outing a little while back. This meant that they had to cope with a table of about 12-14 midweek.
The restaurant has a simple yet pleasing decor and we were shown to a large table towards the far end of the restaurant. We were allocated two waiters to the table that helped with the initial drink ordering flurry. There was the expected cobra beer along with a respectable wine list.
Whilst there was nothing unique on the menu, they offered all the expected dishes from a good curry house. I chose a prawn madras with rice. The curry was tasty
