Stayed in an attic room, really clean, bathroom was amazing & you couldn't hear any noises from the other rooms which was good, hopefully it meant they couldn't hear me either. Reception staff were nice but the breakfast waiter really didn't seem like he wanted to be there.

Had a fantastic one night stay here 19th December. The hotel itself was very clean and the room had very comfy beds. The bar also has A great selection of drinks. I’d also like to mention the two members of staff - Ash and Chris - who really went above and beyond for us on our stay. I can’t wait to come back.

This is the most fun hotel I’ve ever been in, an assault on the senses both visually and smell.
This place is absolutely stunning inside, from the moment you walk through reception, down the vibrant blue corridors and into a room plucked straight from my dreams.
Every single piece of furniture is beautiful, the decor is stunning, the bathrooms look like they belong on a magazine cover and even the general toilets available to everyone for use look like the most perfect piece of modern history.
I can’t comment on the food here as the Brasserie was unfortunately fully booked but based on the

To us, the room is of utmost importance when we stay at a hotel. Its the only factor we have no control over. We can eat elsewhere or drink elsewhere.
Of the three nights we stayed at Elmbank, we stayed in 3 different rooms, due to circumstances beyond our control.
Our first room 276, had an unacceptable level of noise. We were moved to 315, which developed a noxious odour in the bathroom.
Our third room was 317 and it was to a standard that we expected.
The staff dealing with our complaints were very sympathetic and quick to sort a new room. We had to pay more for the upgraded room, however

Stayed at the Elmbank early August and had the best stay! It’s a hidden gem! Our room was a deluxe room furnished in Art Deco style that was just so beautiful and welcoming. Loved the colour theme and couldn’t fault a thing. The staff were super helpful, from the receptionist, the bar staff the restaurant staff and the cleaners everyone made us feel special. There is a lovely bar, and outdoor seating which is ideal for the lovely warm evenings we’ve had lately but the best part for me, apart from the room, was the amazing food. Definitely the best three course meal I’ve had, so delicious

This hotel is really well presented. The attention to detail in the decor and finishes is exceptional. Food really nice. Little terrace for a drink. About 25min to walk into York. Only downside is they sealed windows in bedroom so you have to use air conditioning and this doesn't go below 19C so feel too hot at night.
