Services
Alex qualified from The Queens College, Glasgow in 1991 with a BSc in physiotherapy. Initially Alex worked within the NHS rotating throughout orthopaedic, medical, surgical and hydrotherapy departments, before dipping her toes into private practice on a part time basis in Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes, working both in GP surgeries and sports injury clinics including the well known Blackberry Clinic in Milton Keynes.
If you are claiming via insurance provider such as BUPA, AXAPPP, AVIVA, WPA, Simply Health or other, we must receive your authorisation number at the time of your initial assessment or you will be charged and a receipt given. You will then have to reclaim the amount paid back directly through your provider.
Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease. The profession helps to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to stay in work while helping them to remain independent for as long as possible.
Yoga cannot take the stress out of your life but it can help you deal with it more effectively. The practice of yoga is not just about turning up at a class to carry out physical posture work. It is more than that. It is a journey of self discovery allowing the student to connect to the breath, notice the busy mind and release tension from the whole being - it is complete.
Improve posture & muscle tone, core strength, flexibility, joint mobility while relieving tension and stress. With our APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) trained chartered physiotherapists you could not be in better hands. The Pilates method is essentially a mind-body centering technique that emphasises the importance of beginning movement from a central core of stability, namely the lumbo-pelvic region.

I highly recommend the Versatile clinic in Carnforth. Alex and her team deliver a most professional treatment that also addresses more unusual symptoms and pain patterns. The exceptional attention to detail and Alex' unparalleled expertise integrates the treatment of the patient's "main concern" with a systematic, holistic assessment that can yield clues for accurate cause-effect analysis and sustainable recovery. I have not experienced such professional and comprehensive treatment anywhere else. Plus, the fantastic level of equipment at the clinic allows for an expert level assessment 'in one

After experiencing pelvic pain during pregnancy I saw Clare and I received excellent care. She was professional, caring and has enabled me to significantly reduce pain and resume activities. The online exercise program is easy to access and use, clear communication/reminders about appointments and reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Versatile for any future physio needs and would 100% recommend.

I ruptured my Anterior Cruciate Ligament on the first day of a skiing holiday.
After it had happened I was convinced that a long period of recuperation after surgery would be needed. But I was up and (not quite) running very quickly and the exercises prescribed by Alex have strengthened my muscles so that surgery has not been necessary.
I will be back on the snow this coming season.
I want to thank Alex and the team for sorting me out so well.
