Pod Food
We first opened our doors in London in 2005 with a mission to provide healthy fast food to Londoners on the go. At our peak, we had over 30 stores and were serving tens of thousands of customers every week as well as a healthy corporate catering offer to offices all over London.

Since then we've continued to bring our customers new and exciting food choices through our much-loved signature hot pods, Thai curries, katsu curry, gyozas, salads, smoothies and so much more. We've kept our focus on fresh, quality ingredients with dishes that are packed with flavour.

One of the worst take away meals i've had. Pretty sure the seafood ingridients were frozen rather than fresh. Only 4 prawns in entire meal and chicken was very lacking. Squid was really chewy and also had the… texture of frozen rather than fresh. Looks like the chicken was bulked out by tofu which was disgusting. Tasted like a packet mix had been used to flavour the whole meal. Chewy prawns and squid. Noodles were over cooked and sloppy. I wouldn't feed this food to my dog. I've had pot noodles that taste better than what was delivered to me. Very poor and will never order from here again

Ordered Prawn Laksa soup, received the Tofu one by mistake. 🙄 The broth of the soup has absolutely zero flavours. It's so bland my dishwater would probably taste better and I'm not even joking... Binned after the first bite.

I didn’t know Pod until now and the first thing I know about it is that it gives little response in signing the new Better Chicken Commitment, which is a set of animal welfare guidelines. I would consider having food from Pod if it signs the pledge.

Really poor and rude service in Lombard Street Pod this evening. Have to find somewhere new to get my hot choc every morning.

Just bought a chicken and chorizo wrap from pod on chiswell street. 4.99 and it's all stuck to the wrapper so I have had to tear it out, it was dry, overcooked and obviously sat in the hot hold for a long time. rip off

Hi. I was absolutely livid this morning when ordering my coffee opposite my place of work in New Street Square, London. I ordered a large Americano. The Barista accidentally made a medium, then realised I ordered a large, so just poured the contents into a large cup and added more water. When I questioned that, I was told it’s always the same amount of shots of coffee no matter what size, just more water in a large. This means I’m paying an extra 50p for 25ml of hot water? Please confirm if this is the case.

POD needs to make cage-free egg commitments before their animal welfare standards are good enough for me to become a customer.

They've failed to sign the Better Chicken Commitment, which outlines extremely basic welfare standards that any genuinely ethical restaurant would endorse without hesitation.
I won't eat there and I'll dissuade others from doing the same until they improve their standards.

Right outside the Tube near St Paul's. Tasty and healthy fast food. Enjoyed the power eggs with chorizo, spinach, tomatoes, seeds and wheat bread before my meeting at the Regus.

I used to have a soft spot for Pod as a regular lunch stop but it'd been a while since my last visit and I fear things have gone downhill :(
I sit writing this at my desk having been thoroughly disappointed with the new Keralan Chicken dish on the menu. It promised a south Indian inspired dish of chicken, sweet potato (the ingredient that swung it for me) and cauliflower served over their three grain rice and side salad. It delivered a cauliflower stew with carrots and one sweet potato chunk, with little flavour let alone southern Indian spice. I thought they'd forgotten to put the chicken

This was my second time at Pod, not sure why I returned as it really is just a mediocre lunch spot. My chili beef came in a microwaveable dish and clearly looked like it was prepared at some factory and then microwaved at the restaurant (see pics---not very appetizing, looks almost like airplane food). I left without finishing it---it was not very tasty at all.

I wanted to go to Hummus Brothers. But it was raining and Pod was right in front of our faces so we walked inside. The colourful, poppy design of the place was clearly aimed at my demographic and mostly it worked for me.

Without much time for contemplation I chose the roast smoked Schezuan salmon soba soup which I would have enjoyed a heck of a lot more had I asked for the beansprouts to be left out (out, damn'd beansprouts!)

The broth was spicy, as the counter chap had promised, but the noodles were slightly hard to find and the salmon was a tad fishier than I'd like. Also, eating

Pod, although seemingly holding promise on the outside, delivers a not so great meal on the inside. As I write this I sit at my desk chomping on something that seems like it would be nothing better than a airline meal.

I wish it was a whole lot better because Pod seem like a great option for lunch time eating, and one which until now I had been holding off on for no good reason, despite that fact.

It's a shame that around St Pauls there is very little in the way of good lunch time fair, and Pod might have nixed that, but alas no :(
