Honestly the best coffee experience I've had anywhere. The staff are clearly experts in their craft, providing high quality service and advice. The coffee itself is superb, both in the espresso based drinks and for filter coffee options (I had kalita, but I think V60 and other methods are offered). A better selection of natural-processed and light roast coffees than a lot of espresso bars offer, and you can buy a lot of the coffees they use to take home yourself (but don't expect budget prices - the bag of kilimanjaro natural was £19, but it provides some of the sweetest, fruitiest coffee I've

We visited this place yesterday for lunch for our very first time. It was raining and extremely cold outside and they had the door open all the time. When we requested the short-hair (just for identification porpuses) waitress to close the door she ignored us. Although I did not take my coat and scarf off for a second I came home with sore throat. Obviously we are not visiting again.

Coffee is decent and they got amazing fresh cinnamon buns but the place is let down by loud music which causes all the clients to speak loud. So instead of having a fresh cup of coffee in the morning in a peaceful environment and setting yourself for a productive day you end up being in a club like environment and leaving agitated.

Oh Prufrock. Absolutely amazing coffee. They usually have 3 different kinds of filter coffee. I went with Kongo, which is a hot seller for them right now according to the barista. However, I did dish out £6.5 for a very small mug of it. Which is expensive, even for coffee shops. They only order a small amount of it which is why it's so pricey, and have a lower priced filter at £3.5, so one doesn't need to get the most expensive one The barista explained that the lowest priced filter coffee was a very good place to start for people who don't enjoy filter coffee or haven't

Nice airy space on bustling eatery corridor, leather lane, with some pretty brazen prices for a piece of their experience. I came by w a friend and got avo toast w chilli flakes (£7! for a single piece of sourdough bread with 10 or so slices of avo) and the smoked salmon w eggs on sourdough (£8). V tasty and feel good space, but not for those prices!

Prufrock coffee was my local when I lived in the Barbican. Solid coffee, pastries, minimalist space with ample seating on Leather Lane. I found it a good spot to catch up with writing/reading and to meet friends. If it were too busy I went up the road to the Good and Proper Teashop.
I suppose I hadn't written a review until now, as there is little to criticise, and at the same little of uniqueness to rave about. It's just a good coffee shop with everything you need.

Nice little cafe tucked away off Oxford Street. This is the largest cafe I've been to in the UK. Ample seating for all. They also have WiFi available.
They have a wide variety of coffees and teas. They also have soy and oat milk as dairy alternatives. I suggest an oat latte with a brownie bite for a snack.

I'm surprised I have yet to write a review for Prufrock Coffee. Because I've sure been measuring my life out in coffee spoons while spending time here. GET THE LITERARY REFERENCE? YEAHS #highschoolEnglishteacherFTW
So. Prufrock. It's a completely different vibe mid-week versus weekend, when Leather Lane shifts away from a bustling thoroughfare for Clerkenwellian workers and ends up attracting...I don't know. Who are you weekend people? Anywho, moving right along as this is not particularly pertinent to the review:

2 years ago I did not drink coffee (well I tried it a couple of times and I hated it) but when I gave prufrock a chance back in 2013 when I moved to London it was the start of coffee becoming one of my biggest hobbies and it still ranks in my best 3 coffee shops in London.
The coffee shop is very spacious but it is normally very busy but I have never waited long to get a seat. Flat white has mainly been my choice of drink here although I remember the menu only stating coffee with milk with 4oz, 6oz and 8oz being the options. I tend to go for 6oz otherwise it is too much milk and tastes more

Awesome place for studying
I went to Department of Coffee and Social Affairs, down the road, and it wasn't as quiet as here. Prufrock is an amazing place to have a coffee - by far the best espresso I've ever had - and study. Staff is not as friendly as down the road, this is true, but they don't mind if you stay some hours working.
Chairs could be a bit more comfortable.
Definitely coming back!
