I am passionate about the positive impact technology can play in people's lives. As a Trustee, I aim to support CCL to raise more funds to deliver vitally important counselling services and bring a wide range of experience from the corporate sector. I have been involved in NFP work throughout my career, from voluntary positions to establishing my own business to help farmers in Africa save livestock using smartphone technology.
Counselling is an opportunity to talk about difficult issues and situations - and your thoughts and feelings about them - in a safe and confidential environment with a trained professional who will listen in an accepting and non-judgmental way.

We offer a number of different types of counselling and psychotherapy, including Person-Centred Counselling, Relational and Psychotherpeutic approaches, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Humanistic-Integrative (incorporating Solution-Focused, CBT, Transactional Analysis and creative techniques as appropriate) as well as Couples Counselling.
EMDR is an effective treatment for people who have experienced severe trauma and who may have the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). EMDR works by allowing disturbing memories to be safely processed so that they no longer negatively impact the person's everyday life. EMDR can also help people to build better coping mechanisms and rebuild self-confidence.
Options is a chargeable counselling service for adults, aged 18 and over, providing 1-to-1 counselling with a qualified practitioner. Clients have a range of options, compared to our free-to-access services. Clients also have greater choice of time and venue: we offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments in Malton and Scarborough.
