Kidlington Montessori
Dr. Maria Montessori was a remarkable woman of her time. As the first female doctor of medicine in Italy, and through her interest in paediatrics, psychiatry and educational theory, she proposed her own philosophy of child development.

Dr. Montessori reached the conclusion that the most sensitive period in a child's development is the first six years, when they are developing their five senses, absorbing language, and becoming aware of their surroundings.Montessori set out to assist children along their path of human development by creating a specially prepared environment, which has become the most successful and enduring method of teaching now known as the Montessori method.

A wonderful nursery! Very stimulating environment with staff who take a genuine interest in each child and go the extra mile to bring out the best in them and get them ready for their early years of school. Well managed, very friendly yet highly professional!

We initially toured The Children’s House because the Montessori philosophy matches our own educational ideologies. We knew it was the nursery for our daughter when we saw how much the owner, Henrietta, cares about the children and their learning. You can clearly see how much thought has been put into the nursery environment, and how well the staff interact with the children.
Our daughter, Maddie, has quite noticeably learned so much in the few short months she has been there. I am particularly impressed with how much she has developed her life skills, math, and letter recognition. She has been

When my young daughter was struggling and refusing to go to her previous nursery, I felt frustrated because I didn’t know where she could go next. Then a friend introduced the Children’s House to me and said she “highly recommended” it.
I soon discovered that the Children’s House is as good as what my friends told me: the staff are very nice and care, the daily routine of the nursery is very well organized, also the activities are varied and really make sense. For example, they have a yoga section which introduce children to peace and calm while leaning the nature of human and animals

Our experience at The Children’s House was fantastic. From his first day, our son loved his time there: his progress was both palpable and a joy to watch. He got excited about going to school and talked incessantly about the fun he had at ‘Henrietta’s’, often wanting to go at the weekend as well! The teachers are dedicated, thoughtful and wildly creative and their devotion to education and the welfare of each and every student is a true inspiration. The Montessori approach, of putting each individual at the centre of their own learning experience, seems to particularly lend itself to this

We could not have wished for a better nursery for our son. He absolutely loved going there and always enjoyed his time there. The staff are great, caring and give every child a lot of individual attention.

The child to teacher ratio is absolutely wonderful here. I've never walked in to the school and heard chaotic noise - it's always been very peaceful with very happy children!

My oldest went here and now my youngest and I can’t imagine a better place. I love the idea of the children given freedom to choose within limits of a structured environment. All the teachers are very friendly and my child took no time at all to settle in. Now in fact he even runs to their front door when I drop him off! Happy child, very happy parent!

My eldest child goes here. All the teachers are so lovely and caring, the setting is beautiful, there is a park which they use daily (unless it’s raining!). I really love that they keep the numbers of children lower than other nurseries in the area, my son is very shy but he is blossoming here.

This is a fabulous nursery! My oldest boy went here for over a year before he started school last September and he absolutely loved it. He still talks of it very fondly. The staff are lovely, and the space is a great place for children to learn and play. I’m looking forward to my youngest attending once he is old enough.

The best nursery in Kidlington and maybe in whole Oxfordshire. They will turn your child into a genius! Very professional attitude and systematic
(Montessori) education. Not the chaos you can encounter in other nurseries without an adjective.
