The Lamb At Angmering
A warm welcome awaits in the heart of Angmering village for those looking for freshly prepared food, beautiful boutique accommodation in West Sussex, or simply a drink in stylish surroundings; or all three! The Lamb is a family owned gastro pub nestled next to the South Downs, lovingly refurbished and committed to service of the highest quality.

The Lamb at Angmering is a free house, guaranteeing a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. Here in Sussex, we benefit from many local breweries, and this is reflected in our lineup on a daily basis. Our freshly prepared dishes are carefully created by our passionate kitchen team using only the best local ingredients.
Services
Since 2011, The Lamb has been in the hands of the our family, The Newbons, led by myself, Martin, and my Father, Lee, with the help and support from my brothers Andy and Robin. When my Dad's retirement coincided with my qualification as a chef, we saw this as a green light to put our passion for quality food to good use, and bit the bullet to buy The Lamb.
Whether you're tucked up next to the roaring inglenook fire in winter, enjoying the sunshine in our terraced garden, or taking a well deserved break in one of the gorgeous hotel rooms, The Lamb is a gastro pub in West Sussex that you can truly feel at home in. Full of charm and comfort, this beautiful building first opened its doors to the people of Angmering and beyond in 1775, and continues to be a well loved focal point of the village today.
The Lamb in Angmering is a beautiful setting in which to enjoy fine dining in West Sussex, with an ambience that lends itself to a lunch with friends, a family meal, or a romantic evening for two. Friendly, attentive staff are always on hand, dedicated to ensuring your experience with us is up to the highest standards.
We are lucky here at The Lamb at Angmering, we are a privately owned free house and all of our family have a love of good wines. During our ownership of this lovely old Inn, we have had the freedom to speak to numerous wine merchants and individuals who have 'rocked our boat'. From our discussions, tastings and opinions we have put together an interesting wine list that should offer good choices for all budgets.
Perfectly placed in a beautiful village, our Grade 2 listed building is the perfect place from which to explore the captivating county of Sussex. Home to 8 stunning bedrooms, The Lamb at Angmering offers luxury accommodation in West Sussex, blending both style and comfort. This, along with attentive service from our team, makes for an enchanting stay every time.

Review of an overnight stay.
We stayed in a standard room. The bed was huge, warm and very comfortable with a choice of pillow firmnesses.
Food was epic with an extensive supporting wine list.
Staff were attentive.
Lighting in the room could be better for doing make up, don't forget to bring your own shampoo and conditioner.

Excellent, we called in on the off-chance and were lucky enough to get a table as nearly everyone was reserved. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was superb.
If ever we are in that part of the country we would head straight back there

We picked this place on recommendation and were not disappointed. Excellent food served by a keen, young staff team who had been well trained. Scallops for main were very good and main portions left room for sweet, just as it should be. Well done to everyone.

Without a doubt some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life! Very refreshing to see a more unusual menu and palette of flavours vs your every day pub but I was really blown away. Well presented, delicious, cooked to perfection.

Lovely and quaint place to stay. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Really enjoyed relaxing in the room, drinking a coffee from the coffee machine in there. The only negative I can think of is that there were no beans with the Full English but I guess that's just personal preference.

I tend to be wary of "Gastro Pubs" - fancy overpriced food, and not enough of it. Not here! A fine and imaginative menu, beautifully cooked, and decent proportions as well as being well presented.
Just as well I don't live in this area, as my weekly expenses would increase dramatically, although prices were very fair. Excellent experience.

Love the Lamb Inn! We stayed overnight and it was great. We enjoyed a few drinks before going out to a rugby centenary dinner at the club nearby. The service is impeccable, everything is clean and the atmosphere welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean with lovely little home from home touches. Overall a top experience!
