The pub's title records date back to Elizabethan times in 17th century, it is classified as a building of historic interest. Jan and the team are waiting to welcome you in for a refreshing drink at one of the two bars or a delicious family meal in the restaurant area. The Royal Oak also boasts a small outside patio area, darts board and BT Sports.

Food is served daily, and due to popularity, it is advisable to book a table in advance. The menu includes plenty of traditional pub favourites, along with options for children and those with smaller appetites.

Best pint of Kronenbourg in the area hands down and huge portions of home made food. Always come down here with my family for meals and drinks.

Presentation, Produce, Portions, Price... Perfect!
Returned from a profitable (if rainy) day out at Fontwell races and decided to celebrate with a meal and drinks at The Royal Oak, since we had visited for refreshments the previous evening and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
Five of us enjoyed a variety of mains - lamb's liver with bacon and onions, lasagne and chicken curry.
Each meal looked beautiful - wished I'd taken photographs - and there was no scrimping on the portion sizes.
All of us agreed our dishes were cooked to perfection.
A goodly number of bottles of shiraz and several Amstels

Won a raffle with Halifax and went for meal today. atmosphere was great. lovely friendly pub with excellent food. thoroughly enjoyed it. would highly recommend

We had dinner at the Royal Oak last night and we were very pleased with both of our meals. I had trout with chips and salad and my friend had chicken and leek pie with chips and veg. Both meals were delicious. It's a friendly pub with a good atmosphere. We'll worth a visit.

I absolutely love this pub it's fantastic. Such friendly staff good people go there. The food is pretty great as well with a decent amount of options available. It's a dog friendly pub aswell which is great. The regular customers are really nice as well. I'm never disappointed when leaving the pink pub you get exactly what you want friendly service a nice atmosphere with delicious food and more importantly drink.

I had lunch at The Royal Oak today and "The Pink Pub" as it's locally known didn't disappoint.
The hunter chicken I ordered was delicious, juicy, and the portion was very generous. Still had a bit of space in my dessert stomach for some homemade treacle tart though!
I highly recommend this place to anyone: proper traditional pub with yummy home made food

What can I say, absolutely brilliant. Working away from home. Found the royal oak- food was excellent, great beer and all staff very friendly and welcoming. Local people also great to have a chat with. I just wish there was more places like this. Very highly recommended.

Meals were great lovely size meals meat ,veg etc was beautiful and puds were to die for and great service and meals were hot Jan and her team are great we be going back next weekend for more the same Top place for meals
