Law Society sounds warning against judicial review bill Some fear legislation will prevent challenges by most marg. In one months time a team from Gilbert Stephens will be participating in the Exeter Legal Walk, a 10k sponsored wal. Back to school is a time of year that many children look forward to, but for others there's some trepidation.

We are very proud of our high rate of client satisfaction, the following comments have be drawn from client surveys undertaken following the closure of recent matters. I would like to thank Martin Justice for the efficient and caring way in which he carried out the administration of the estate during what can only be described as exceptional times.

My experience with Gilbert Stephens was very poor. The Legal Executive at Ottery St Mary made a couple of errors (in my opinion)...they incorrectly calculated the deposit needed to purchase my house and told me on a Friday of the error, the day we were to exchange and then went home for the weekend! without trying to rectify the issue...and no apology either. Then, 12 months after the purchase I found that the Legal Exec had not followed up with the Land Registry and the application for completion was unresolved! The day I chased it (due to a remortgage) it was sorted that day. Again no apology

We cannot thank both Sarah Heath and Laura Newbould who acted for us for a conveyancing matter. They were professional at all times and we cannot fault them. They were efficient at all times and responded to all enquiries, emails and calls promptly and no job was ever too small. They were kind enough to explain things in detail that were somewhat confusing to a first-time buyer and for what was a stressful time trying to buy a first home during a pandemic was a true indication of their skill, professionalism and dedication, causing us minimum stress. It was reassuring having someone act for you

We went through a torrid time trying to buy our frist house; cancelled completion dates, undeclared covenants and liabilities. Throughout it all Gilbert Stephens supported us, gave us accurate and professional advice and detialed report's. They dealt with far less able solicitors and some very egregious estate agent's excellently. The fees structure was fair and wholly transparent. Strongly recommend.
